I’d say it got rear ended by a big rig, right front tire into about the driver side frame rail line. When 40 tons hits 2 tons the 2 tons doesn’t do to well.

Must have been a clean car too, no cracking of bondo anywhere. Ironically the black front clip makes you wonder if the car had survived another hit early, up front.

Makes me wonder if the car was a LeMans with a GTO front clip.

I have also seen 74 Impalas (Caprices?) in SofA trim and a 74 El Camino, but I think it was a dealer tape job,

BVZ, you made me look back at my classmates Buick, it was the 75 and I agree with you, much more attractive than the 76.

I remember a SofA Impala coupe in a junkyard I always frequented in the mid '80s-early '90s (NJ), white w/ all white interior. The keys were in it & when I turned them, it started up.

That GTO must have really been rolling to do all that damage. It looks like a semi hit it

Sorta interesting...1975 Pontiac Grand Am Spirit of America - $4,500 (Haltom City)

Interior looks pretty nice, especially for a Texas car.

I never realized how nice and fluid the Pontiac design team dealt with the 'stupid impact' bumper on the front . :

What makes it a “Spirit of America”?

I think its some ad-lib creativity

A good friend in high school had a 75 or 76 White Nova with R-W-B striping accents and it was a factory Spirit of America edition (had R-W-B call-out decals on fenders and maybe the trunk lid too)
Don't remember if all the GM brands copied that for the Bicentennial ,,, but I do remember several of those Nova's running around town. fwiw

Chevy had Spirit of America cars in 1974 - there was a Nova and a Vega, not sure about other models. I don't think Pontiac ever did it.
