Yes those are the push rod tubes that pressed into the heads. They were 'cheap' thats why I ordered them at the time and thought to modify conventional heads and press them in.They came in individual paper bags. The parts guy was an older gentleman who seemed to like high performance and gave us good price breaks.Still wished i hadn't canceled the block and ordered heads. But times were tuff $. So I'm still lucky.
Has anyone ever seen or have the letter that stated-4spd SD cars were held up because of thrust main problems? this was in March 74,when I took delivery of my auto.I remember the letter and reading it but didn't save it. |

Hello. Do any of you gentlemen have an H-O Racing HC-63 or HC-62 camshaft you want to part with? or.........know of a source for SD cams with the original size gear?
I would have posted this in the parts wanted section but this seems to be a defacto SD-455 forum now and I thought it would have otherwise gotten lost in the crowd. Thank You...Brian |

Ken Croice from HO enterprises may have some info on the cams.
I bought the last HC-62 he had.

'73 dudes, can someone take some measurements around the rear bumper of their car for me? I'm looking for how far the rear bumper sits from the end of the body, and if that measurement is consistent all the way around the rear. We're in the final tweeking phase of getting my car back. I got another bumper too that had some brackets that may have been from an earlier year and could have thrown things off if they accidently used those. If anyones got some pics of the bumper brackets that would also be a massive help so I can ID them if they are different. Thanks in advance to my Poncho Bro's!

I looked in my Fisher book this morning and didnt see any specs for reference. If needed I can go measure mine this evening and let you know?
Interested in hearing (seeing pictures) of the progress on the car and hope to see it in person/meet someday too! Last edited by Brewster; 06-12-2008 at 08:54 AM. |

That would be a huge help, Brewster! Thanks!
The car is basically done (but are they ever really)? If you ever get over to California you're on! I'll post some finished pics in the upcoming weeks once I get it back full time. |

I'm okay with those messurements, but if you want to compare them to what you have it would be interesting to know how close they came to spec.
