it would probably help if you posted the zip code and whether or not the shipping address would be a business.

Although not of interest to many- 'straight shot' drilling is yet another feather-in-cap for the old '58 forged cranks. |

Thanks Bob C, I've sent you the Zip code by pm.
Do you check every crank that you sell for straightness and correct tolerances before they go out? This is important to me as I live 3000 miles away, and we often hear stories over here that the reject parts go in the 'Limey bin'! I'll order this weekend if the shipping cost is ok,perhaps I'll be the first one in the UK to get one of these cranks! Looks like my twin turbo project will stay Pontiac powered after all, without the availability of a reasonable priced forged crank I had considered going BBC,thanks,Taff. |

Or perhaps my Pontiac turbo project won't go ahead!
I'm still waiting for an answer on the shipping cost to the Zip code I provided,is this what you guys call customer service? Don't you want to sell me a crank or what? I was warned by a couple of other 'foreigners' like me who post on here that I was wasting my time emailing as I wouldn't get any answers. Are there any other Pontiac vendors selling forged cranks for the same price who would like to take my money,I'd rather give it to someone who returns my emails. Makes you wonder what would happen if I had a faulty part and had to return it,eh? I've got the runaround just trying to buy the part! |

Perhaps he has not checked his PM's yet. I'm sure you'll get a response, and I'm sure AP would like to have your business. There are plenty of people out there that will attest to the high levels of customer service that AP provides.

Taff, My bad. I sent you my pm that we will inspect your crank 100 percent and I said that my UPS was down and I get back to you on the shipping. Well, boy does time fly. If I close my eyes, on somedays and I can't remember the color of my cloths because I am so busy. I just forgot. I will do it by sundown on Monday or I will pay for the shipping to your zip. code.

I would like to ad to this thread that through past experiences with All Pontiac, and BOP I have had excellent responses from them, superior products, and stellar communication with both companys. I have only great things to say reguarding the Pontiac community. These guys get bombarded constantly with phone calls and try their best to answer each and every one of them, so please be patient.
P.S. We are looking foward to delivery on our crank |

First off, I don't phone companies in the States because(a),we're 6-8 hours in front/or behind in time, and(b) I have a strong Welsh accent and find communications by phone challenging to say the least!
JeffV, freight costs can easily double the original cost of the parts sent to the UK,especially on heavy(read crank) parts. Hence I get my parts sent to my mate in Oklahoma who then gets the cheapest shipping and sends them as used parts to save me on the import taxes etc. One of the reasons I use Summit a lot is 'cos they ship free in the States. And I can tell you I've spent a LOT with them over the years. It costs double to build a car over here compared to what you would pay ,and I'm not a chequebook racer,so I don't need to be told not to be concerned about money. RobC, I apologise for my rant, I thought I was being given the runaround,I should have realised you were busy. I'm sure we can do business soon. Taff. |

Bob and Robert go out of their way to be helpful and if not for guys like them there wouldn't even be a superior block, heads, forged crank, etc. Have a nice weekend. |

RobC, I recieved your shipping quote, thanks, I'll fax my order through this week. Oh, the weather is lovely ,if you like 10" of snow!
TurboGTA, my project is up and running using the 406Pontiac out of my previous 10 second ride,I'm going to use this motor to sort out the new tube chassis when our season starts in April. I've already collected most of the parts for the turbo setup and have been waiting for a reasonably priced forged Pontiac crank to come out. If this crank by AllPontiac/BOP hadn't arrived I would have had to consider a BBC just 'cos the hi po parts are readily available and reasonably priced over here. I've run Pontiac power since 1985 and am one of the few over here that still does. I'll post a pic of the car later in case anyone's interested,Taff. |
