Jimmy Keen ran his 347 Engine on John Meany's 2000 HP Stuska dyno and made 1113 HP if I remember correctly and when we went to the track at 3000 lbs the car went 8.03 at 168.7 mph.

There is 150 lbs different in the car's weights so I would have a bit of trouble with the projected 1100 hp number too.

Tom I believe someone said 3000 lbs with driver, so its right there. Like I said I don't know the actual hp but its not out of the realm that's all. Hey its always better if you can go fast with less hp, wish I had that problem lol

boost IS boost- but differentially assessed.
when turbo and nitrous cars compete in heads up classes that i know of, turbo cars are significantly limited in ci, while nitrous motors have no ci limits. why??
heres an idea!
how about comparing this stock block nitrous motor to other stock block nitrous motors?

PS: EPC_Motorsports...isn't your Firebrid around 2800-2900 lbs...now...and you where running...I think 8.20's at Norwalk this year. So I'd say your pretty close in
weight. He's also only running a 467 ci...don't know what your CI is.
We were at 3478 with steel fenders and steel doors. took 284 lbs off car. To get percentages right we have 30 lbs of ballest in rear, We were at race weight at norwalk 3240. Plus one more 15 lb bottle when we turned on the second kit.

I was ASSUMING that 2850 was with driver. If it is with driver at 3000 then you are correct, it is spot on 1100 HP and mph is there too.

Nitrous engines develop very high cylinder pressures whereas a Turbo engine may increase the cylinder pressure by 15% but increase the mass flow and push on the piston for a longer period of time every combustion event. Higher overall torque.

Nitrous has very high cylinder pressure spikes which are hard on parts unless you ramp it in in stages at different parts of the track. Still you can only get a given amount of extra oxygen molecules in every 10 lb bottle for any given bottle pressure. This is why you have big cid engines in my opinion competing against sb Turbo cars.

Jimmy Jammel run real low 8s with a stock block N/A and e-heads. I am pretty sure that engine was in the 460cid range. He was spinning that upwards of 8,000rpm also. That engine was put together by one of those idiots that a certain person keeps referring to.

Still the same old 505 with E heads. Just for the record we have been faster at 3478 than 3200 lbs. We had two conservative tune ups at norwalk . We only went as fast as we had to thare. We want to do more with this car than just show boat, Ya know. Hell Gash, We only had 1.30 60 ft times and 5.30 eights but went 138 and 139 to the eigth. Add that up.

Congrats on the new best! Not hurting parts is a nice bonus. I assume this is the car.
