Hi guys,
I wish a Pontiac event was setup annually in BG. I have been there for 20 years for the t4-5 day home of GS Nationals with my Grand National. The Buicks have tested and raced 4 days every year weather permitting all these years. I have often thought that an all Pontiac event here be the great. I love the town and track; it's the best place I have ever raced.
I will arrive on Thursday evening with my Tempest that I have owned and raced for 39 years. My family and I are looking forward to making an extra trip to Bowling Green this year. I bet a lot of people will feel this is the best place, the Buick people sure do.
This is going to be one to remember!

You might find a few plugins near the pit side stands but dont know if you can actually use them.

That's what I kind of figured.

I'll be leaving from Hawaii on Tuesday night. Hope the plane is on time. Maybe I'll get the "long hauler" award.

I think my car getting to POCI is doomed. Got the bump steer much better under control and planning to get it lettered tomorrow. Jack my old Dodge diesel truck up today for some service work and find a broken leaf spring. Gonna be a fun week getting ready to tow out.

John - Norwalk and BG both nice places. I think BG much more spectator friendly with covered bleachers and comfortable seats(think from a baseball stadium or similar). BG also has the amusement/water park on the grounds for the wife and kids. Norwalk has the really nice shower/restroom facility. Haven't used that at BG yet. That said, wouldn't miss either event.

Dave - does that mean we can get to our pit spots Thursday night when we roll in rather than having to stay in the campground?

Very good question! Also, will their be security in the pits if we want to leave our enclosed trailer there on Thursday and Friday night?

Car is finally ready, we're loading everything tomorrow and pulling out early Thursday morning. It's about a 6 hour drive for us.

Yes - that was what I left with after meeting with the track owner this afternoon.

According to Mapquest it's about 120 miles and a 2 hour drive.

Wish I lived that close. I would be there for sure.

I actually live in WA state and I am just visiting my relatives here. It looks like I will be able to get free to go and watch.

Thanks for the information.

Nothing like checking your trailer tires at the last minute & finding a bad one.
Oh well, I have 2 spares.
