Wonder what mag, if any, they will substitute?

thank god! there was NOTHING high performance about that mag anymore, im sick and tired of looking at corporate small block powered cars and how to restore your rallye 2s!! no drag race tech or cars... lets see a REAL high performance Pontiac mag!!

I stare at a computer screen 9-10 hours a day, and it's a true pleasure for me to flip through the pages of my favorite publications. You can take a magazine anywhere; it doesn't run out of battery life or need an Internet signal, it can be left on a beach towel without fear of being stolen, or get covered in grease out in the garage. Ever try scrolling through pages on a tablet with greasy hands?

I did the same thing. I missed not having something to read in the bathroom and I guess my timing was not so good.

A CD with the archive of all the past issues of HHP would be an "Acceptable" send off gift in my opinion.

That's an excellent idea!

Too bad they didn't finish the GTO series articles.

Does that leave POCI Smoke Signals as the last Pontiac magazine? Perhaps it's time to check them out again.

I just received the August issue, all sad true dat but no one but me I guess is showing concern for the young lady that rest her booty on the Formula TA on page 45.

This turn of events was as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning.
Tom Demauro knew the end was coming....that's why he bailed out and landed at Hemmings.
The magazine got smaller and smaller and the last few issues had very cheap quality paper
used for the pages....almost like newspaper. No surprise at all. Let's recap....there was no
High Performance Studebaker, Hudson, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, or AMC. Why should there be a
High Performance Pontiac mag? Even High Performance Buick would make more sense....at least they
still make Buicks.

2 more years of Hot Rod probably. You would hope they would go the opposite what they did when MCR first went under.

It really sucks that the magazines always continue to send out solicitation cards
asking you to reup for three years when they know they are going to fold any day now.
Pontiac enthusiast did the same thing when they folded. That is why you NEVER reup to a
magazine for more than 12 months. It is thievery pure and simple.

1. Freiburger is not the editor of Hot Rod magazine.

2. You're more than welcome to take your money elsewhere - they can't always cater to everyone - but you're missing out on a fine magazine. Seeing that you don't even know who the editor is, it stands to reason.

Bummer. I spend a lot of time on the road and look forward to reading the digital version on my ipad--really helps pass the time.
