Of the car had the65 California emissions it would have a vent tube running from a grommet where the plug is on the passengers side valve cover up to the air cleaner, and a cap on the valve cover instead of a breather.
That is wrong info. For some reason pontiac swapped the valve covers on full size cars. I believe they are in the right spots.

It's an original Illinois' (Joliet) car.

Cant sleep,,, to wound up. According to the paperwork, this car has 2.73 gears!! Talk about tall! Should be a great open road car! Need to send off for the PHS to confirm everything I have. There are 5 tires mounted on rims in the trunk. 1 set is snow tires., a couple of bias tires & the original spare under the tire cover. Factory jack & lug wrench is in the trunk with a fire ext. There is a pair of leather driving gloves & a polishing rag in the console. This thing is a virtual time capsul!

Have a little note pad, Starts out dated 11 oct 1965. Car had 8 miles on it when bought. Owner drove 3 miles & put 24-2/10 gallons in it at a cost of $7.99. This book has amounts of gas & oil used, tire rotations, tuneups, etc, etc. Starting in 65 & going well into the 80's. Talk about a records freak!! Looks like he was averaging around 13.8 MPG!!

No rust!!...makes me wanna cry. Finding good sheetmetal, or nearly anything, for the fullsize is tough and expensive. Congrats on that purchase, damn good find there.

Nice, did that come with the truck light that comes off with an extension cord on it?
Is it an AC car?

No,, trunk light with a slide switch. Non-AC car with an aftermarket hang on AC under the right side of the dash. R-12 unit & it works!!!

I'm really jealous of that car. No, I'm serious.
As much as I love GTOs, I've actually had more B body cars than A or F bodies. Perfect scenario for me would be to have one of my GTOs...and that car that you have.
Congrats again. It's really beautiful, patina and all!
