Fighting with these cheap chineese trim rings and one flew off on the highway so I'll shart a different thread for that. The OER paint was not providing any coverage at all so we had to put a light coat of sealer. The OER paint made them look very metal flake or textured after that however. They seem a shad darker than they should be but there is no turning back now - I'm satisfied with the results. Thanks everyone. Next project - new camera phone...apologies
