I would be all over that if I were anywhere near it! That appears to be a Thompson manifold worth some serious coin! Somebody better get it.

Does look to be a Thompson unit,,, for a V8,, that's been modified to fit the 4 cyl. You can see all the welding on the flange.

I wonder if it was modified to run on later heads? Pretty sure thats what Rusty did with his M/T set up.

You mean Gifford with the M/T head?

No Rusty that has Roger Mansons old Jeep. Not what I was thinking, this is a modified V8 manifold. The Thompson 4 banger had the blower laid over. Still an interesting piece.

Made an offer on this, didn't hear back so here it is for you guys. I saw it in person and test drove it around the parking lot.
Needs exhaust despite what ad says, it's rotted in half behind muffler. Crossover pipe manifold to manifold is fine. Paint job has some very visible scratches especially hood and top of fender(s). Drivers floor had rotted through and been decently patched. Very little if any rust anywhere else that i could see, and i really didn't see evidence of the quarter/rocker job. Heater core is leaking outside the car some, and underneath is very much "old car", so coated in oil, steering box crazy coated in grease, etc. Been upgraded to electric fuel pump with relay. I don't know what paint they used, if BC/CC maybe a sand and coat with clear would be awesome, it's a little orange peely. All in all, a decent DD, i'm just in the middle of other projects and didn't want to jump on it unless it was like half the asking because i don't need it. http://youngstown.craigslist.org/cto/5211645613.html |

I felt the same, but again i knew i was pricing it from someone who really could take it or leave it. It really was solid, a paint job and engine detail and it'd be a car-show worthy car. But, as been mentioned on these, rarely get out what you've put in.
It says new alternator too, but there's a generator on it. Tires do look very new. |

If it were here in Kalamazoo, I would probably already have it for that price. I am kinda looking for a 60's Pontiac daily driver for the summer.
