Here's some vintage shots of an injected Pontiac powered funny car from across the other side of the big pond, that was campaigned by a FB friend, Roy Fursman.

A buddy of mine told me that Truman had sold his Firebird, is that true? He said that Truman was living in Florida, now, and he had sold it to someone in Ohio.

I understood that he had two "Birds, as well. The guy that was supposed to have bought it also has, or had, a '72-'73 LeMans. Maybe the friend who told me got it wrong and it was the LeMans that he sold.

Truman raced both cars at times, but this picture is from 73.
Truman does live in Florida. He owns the car in the picture still. He sold the Hard Times 2 car to me last year. This is the car he raced after he sold the original car in 1975, then bought it back about 8 years ago. He hopes to race it a little this year of things break right. |

I'm getting married this year, but maybe by the end of the year I'll get out. We are supposed to put the original HT car back together this spring possibly. I know Truman ran 2 classes at times. This race he might have just run the Firebird.

Okay, Todd. It was my understanding that you had bought the car, but I didn't know that you were Todd1035, and that you were from Jersey. I wonder if my buddy got mixed up and thought I was asking where Truman was from, rather than you. Didn't mean to get something started.
Your old car wasn't Truman's, as well, was it?

Here's an old 57 from back in the day I thought was pretty cool.
Never did much with it and ended up dumping to buy more Firebird parts. P.S. Can't really see her but that's the wife scratching my paint |
