Besides Pontiacs I'm also into old BMWs. There's a local group of BMW owners who get together once a month to hang out and shoot the breeze, and just to be different this time I decided to bring my Bonneville instead.
This is me (in the foreground) showing it off to the other guys.

Pitts-
If you think that thing is easy to push now - just wait until you have about 1000 hours on it. I used one of those when I was a kid that had been used by both my father & grandfather. Once it gets to the point where the blade makes about 50 rotations with one push when not cutting, you can really make some time! I can still hear that thing whirring. It seemed like it weighed a ton, but I could barely see over the handles then .You can use all that gas you save to put more miles on the Bonne.

Holy crap! It's Ward Cleaver!
No wonder all those guys are deaf. How many people around have the skill to sharpen one of those blades today? I don't think you could run over all the stuff I have run over with a mower with one of those reel jobs though. Fodder for a Letterman skit.
