Cleaning up build sheets
Baron VZ:
I am very curious about cleaning old build sheets and thanks for the advice. To be honest, the paper is about as brittle as you can imagine. Thankfully, I can read the important information. BVZ, how would you "preserve" a build sheet? Ever think of laminating it? Someone once told me that you shouldn't for whatever reason. However, I am worried there wont be much left if I don't do something. Sorry to change the topic. Flipping sow bellied mother in laws is pretty funny. |

With yours being brittle, maybe test a corner first. Don't think I would laminate it unless I was satisified it was as clean as scientifically possible and easy to read. Be hard to get it back out if something revolutionary becomes known to clear it up. I would at least keep it pressed between sheets of wax paper and sealed in a large ziploc if possible. I think the first flipper made $10k. Then the second flipper made another $20k. All in a period of a couple weeks.
Ahhh...........the good old days.

Looks awesome! I went back and re-read this whole thread - who wound up buying the car and flipping it and who owns it now? Whatever happened to customizeit the OP? Heck, for that matter, whatever happened to BVZ? That guy was really funny!

Customizit is probably still crying about the one that got away. I feel for him, too. He just didn't know enough about the cars at the time and there wasn't enough time to catch up. It makes a story to tell though. And he has something to back it up. I feel pretty sure he would've flipped it too.
