I sent for the PHSs yesterday. After I have all the docs, I will start the long process of checking all the #s and then starting to price the cars and get them ready to be seen. After sitting for 30 years there will be a lot of time needed for cleaning. I have received a ton of pm and apologize for not answering all of them because I just do not have all the info yet. I do appreciate the interest and when the cars are ready I will answer every one. Thanks for your patience.

Anyone who could not understand that is unreasonable. Quite overwhelming.

Wow...26 PHS docs...that alone is a significant investment.
In the long run though, your Dad maby did better buying those cars than many of us who invested in our 401Ks. Sure wish I had the money and room to grab a hardtop or coupe from you.

Received the PHSs today. WOW, very overwhelming but exciting. One suprise that I was not aware of was a 67 vert, HO motor, 4 spd, silver glaze, black interior and black top and 2 Signet Gold 67 verts as well. Its amazing after only 13 years of being on the road 3 cars had color changes. Once everything is put on a spread sheet I will post the info.

It would be nice to get some well lighted pictures of the individual cars for potential buyers like myself can assess the car they would like to purchase.

Just tuned back into this thread - Congratulations on the stash!
What made you store them untouched for all of those years? & what's prompted you to move them now?

6t5gto,
It is a very nice restorable collection that, with the help of many here, are anxiously waiting a new home- good luck in the process of finding them a new home. I am not picky, I will purchase any one that the others don't want. If it rhymes with "goat", it floats my boat. Besides, my wife and I were just talking about taking a vacation sometime soon- near you - wherever that is and whenever the price tags are in the windows. Just let me know, when and where. Good luck with the sales, Mark I4abuygto |

I agree with Too Many Projects. Pull them out one at a time, clean them up the best you can, and sell them at a detached location. I think people would pay more for a car if they thought it was a one of a kind "barn find". I don't know about anyone else, but it has always been my dream to find a car that has been in storage for 20 years that everyone else has missed. Actually, I found one in a barn - a one owner 68 GTO convertible that has been stored for over 20 years. I have been trying to buy it for the past 5 years, but the lady that bought it new won't sell because of sentimental value.
Maybe it's the greed in me, but I would probably offer you more if I thought you only had one, but if I knew you had 25 more I would probably try to buy it for less. |

Has this died on the vine? Winter is here in Florida. I'm ready to knock out my project? If this isn't going down, please let me know so I can search for a '66 convertible elsewhere.
thanks |
