only thing i would recommend is to take a lot of those silver painted parts and glass bead them to bare, then clear coat them. silver spray paint jsut doesn't cut it for a natural metal look imho.

I will be using the pint to paint my engine and will do a comparison once the engine is sprayed. So to sum it up if SDFormula's sample is accurate for the 73-74 engines, then the formula below will get you extremely close to the original color.

Thanks again for the sample cards.

Yeap, killer videos. I've seen them before and have talked with the guy (white sd owner) who is a member here but doesn't pipe in much.

Plan to put it on YOUTUBE for everyone to see--Roger would like that too. Its a different format (Europe ) --hope it works--do you know of any software that can do that. Also if I can copy it to our format--I'll send you a copy--chow.

Hi guys. Thought I would introduce myself real quick here as I was a past owner of two SD-455 Trans Am's. I'm sure I had met someone here or at least talked to them in some form or fashion.
Chris from Lake Crystal, MN.
Here's a couple pics of the cars I owned not too long ago. Sadly some life problems got in the way and all were sold. I still yearn for my 72 and 73. The 74 not so much. LOL

Anyway some pics:

Some of you may be familiar with the 72 and the 73. Johnny Lightning used them for the Classic Gold series and the Firebird series. My name is actually listed on the 72 Trans Am collector card.
The 73 SD is in the book, Pontiac Firebird by Marc Cranswick.

I was really big into the hobby especially while owning the two SD-455's. Like I said, stuff gets in the way and things change. I will always remember the cars as I have never had a blast like I did with them.
I may not be on here too much as I am still dealing with life, but I still have a Pontiac, 2000 Grand Prix GTP that I have fun with.
Always have Pontiac in my blood.
Chris
