81 Firebird with a Buick 455 at $6500 BIN in Massachusetts. Looks like a great low-rust base for a T/A clone.

72 Lux LeMans 4 door hardtop. Not up my alley and obviously very limited market but man this car is exceptionally minty original. Sweet!

I would have liked to met the man who owned it. This one had a loving hand for most of its life. I once passed up a 64 GTO from an original owner ( a NYC Play write) I just can't recall his name, We are Just custodians of mechanical works of art he said to me, LOL I told him he was over pricing the frame... Needed work ...

I don't typically like to bag on cars just to be a hater, but I do not get the love for the 86 Grand Prix Aero. It's an ugly car with a low HP engine. Here's one on eBay they're asking close to $17K for? Do you know how many cool Pontiacs one could purchase for that much? /rant

That car would be more interesting to me in it's original LeMans Sport trim.

There were plenty of those plain jane GP's when I was a kid. J's with no Cordova top and the basic wheelcover with just steering, brakes and a radio. Lots of people bought fancy ones but I think they also appealed to buyers otherwise looking a regular midsized cars that wanted the look of a fancy car but couldn't swing the cost so they ordered them on the cheap.

69 GTO with a lot of options and a damaged frame. The Am/FM, wood wheel and engine/4-speed are worth where it is now. $1K NR in Missouri.

That thing is rough as a cob. I wonder how it wound up with 3.90 gearing on what appears to be a standard base GTO in other respects?

Car is sure rough but there is something strangely compelling about a car that is so honestly original.

I'm just didn't realize that people were gearing them like that with the cams available in the base cars. Not really surprising (that I wouldn't know it) though as I'm not really a 'numbers' guy when it comes to these cars.

It’s quite uncommon, the vast majority of GTO’s were built with the standard issue gears for the engine and trans they had. In 69 manual trans cars (350 or 366 horse) came with 3.55 gears (3.23 with AC) and automatic cars had 3.36 or 3.55.
Of the cars ordered with stiffer gearing almost all are 4 speed cars. Very few automatic car were ordered with optional gears.

80 T/A in Utah at $3K NR. Turbo car with red interior WS6 4WDB. Would make a good candidate for engine swap and paint it whatever color you want.
