Oddly at the beginning of the race DW was trying to be positive about Danica, or was making a backhanded slam, when he commented on her Q position. "Danica had a much better car than her starting position shows"...

Ouch, meaning she didn't/ couldn't get everything out of the car.

She's also 41st in owner's points. After Vegas this next Sunday, if she doesn't haves good finish, she's going to have a tough time making the show on the following race, as they will start using 2014 owner's points. That's when it will start to get real interesting!

Yeah, she beat 72 year old Morgan Shepherd and a bunch of third tier drivers in 4th tier equipment...

Bobby and Terry Labonte and Josh Wise have been in only one Cup race this season and are ahead of her in the points (29, 24 and 20 points vs 13 points). Her main squeeze (Ricky Jr.) is 50 points ahead of the touring princess...

Also, Dale Jr., despite having only 1 week of tweeting, is now up to 570,000 twitter followers.

I figure it shouldn't take too much longer for Jr. to surpass the Touring Princess as the NASCAR driver with the most followers.

If you like that - that's your problem...

I have no interest in the Ice Queen as far as that goes.

Based on her previous experience at this track (33rd in 1 Cup race, 13th in 1 Nationwide race), I don't think I'd put $2.00 on that chance.

Furthermore - on 1.5 mile tracks last season - Panica never cracked the top 20 - that includes Vegas, TX, KS, Charlotte, Chicagoland, KY and Atlanta. Her average finish on 1.5 milers was 27th.

Godaddy will buy her a ride from someone who does qualify when that happens.

Given her race team, if she were a real/good/average race car driver she'd be having wrecks at the front of the pack by now. She should just shut up and grow a pair.

At Daytona the magic she had last year during Speedweeks was absent. A rule requiring her and Stewart to start at the rear of the field in both the Budweiser Duel and Daytona 500 following an unapproved engine change left Patrick upset.

Frequently, she bemoaned her situation, criticized the fairness and openly questioned why she should even bother competing in her qualifying race.
This outlook was in stark contrast to Stewart. The owner/driver was unmoved about NASCAR's judgment, understanding that because of the draft and fluidness of racing at Daytona, it made little difference where he lined.
The Ice Princess must think she's special and above the rules. It was the rule before she ever got in a stock car that if you change engines you start at the back. Tony gets it, but Wanica doesn't.

Why she should run the qualifying race? Maybe to help her learn how to race?

The Touring Princess wants things given to her, she's not willing to earn anything.

She's only going to do "ok" at Daytona or Talladega. Those are the two tracks where driving ability is about 10% of the effort, and the car is 90%. She has as much chance of getting a top 10 at one of the superspeedways as any of the other pikers in the back of the field. Heck, David Ragan and David Gilliland finished 1-2 at Talladega last year, so it's all about staying with the pack, and teaming up to make a big push on the back straight on the last lap (and I like Ragan and Gilliland, I'm just making a point that at Daytona or Talladega, it's not about ability, it's about the last half lap, which about 20 cars all have a shot at winning).

Winning Daytona involves luck, and all the drivers all know that. Tony Stewart hasn't won the Daytona 500 (yet), and it took Dale Earnhardt 20 years to win it.

This year, Dale Jr. had the golden horseshoe up his butt.

I'm glad Dale Jr acknowledged the fact that people say he's overrated. I think he understands why, and I also think that's why he's been in such a slump the past few years. Just too much pressure on him to perform.

I hope that this year he KNOWS, and BELIEVES, he has a very good chance at being the 2014 champion.

The super speedways have produced sooooo many one hit wonders that happened to be at the right place at the right time at these 2 tracks. Drivers that won on these 2 tracks and have never won another race in their career.
