Drove to work. Nice day for a cruise, too bad I had to spend the day indoors. At least I have this waiting for me when I go home in a few hours:

got frustrated as hell because I can't get the brakes to bleed. Not sure what to try next...

If you're bleeding them after replacing the master cylinder I'd bet you have a bad replacement master cylinder. I've had around a 50% failure rate on new ones over the last 10 years.

Got the car in March. Lots of "interesting mods". LS 5.3 with Tremec TKX. Bought it to have fun and drive anywhere. Already have put over 500 miles on it. Need to raise it up a bit, lower the carb so I can get rid of the "hole in the hood". Ultimate goal is to get the body work done and paint it Brewster.
Is/was a true formula - manual 350 with power windows and tilt and without AC. Original color 74 - Florentine red with black interior. |

How much clearance do you have to the lowest part of the floor around the middle of the doors? I'm starting to assemble my Ratbird and it would be good to have a real world clearance measure to shoot for.

Another car show with the '68 last weekend. After the last few weekends, I'm kind of car showed out at the moment.
Picked up a few parts for the Ventura - bumper guards, fan shroud, new water pump, correctly sized p/s belt. Bigger problems are looming - we noticed that coolant seems to be disappearing which isn't good. Oil looks fine, the radiator isn't showing any obvious leaks, a head gasket coolant test showed ok. I'm not sure exactly what's up. It was low on compression in #5 and #7 last time I checked, so I think it's likely a head gasket leak even if the oil looks ok. More than likely we're going to end up pulling the engine this summer to see what's up.

Unfortunately he sold it last week. Might keep an eye out for another engine we could drop in so we can keep him on the road.

Took the Comp out to the Friday night gathering and had an impromptu family gathering. Only missing a 3rd gen.

Local cars and coffee this morning.
Really liking the new 3.08 gears ![]() The Hurst wheels reflecting halos on the ground is kinda cool.

Nothing too special. Just had a chance to go for a drive. But it is a little special since I've been so busy with various spring chores and projects I haven't been driving as much.

Put the new from bumper on the 67 GTO. Looks like it will fit well...just some minor adjusting to do.

Nothing. So much going on at work and life in general. I have an engine on the stand , and all parts, waiting to assemble. Seriously considering just bringing it back to my engine guy to have him do everything.
I haven’t even drove the old cars in a few weeks.

I put a radiator on a big block Chevelle and hooked up the trans lines? Does that get me like a half a point since its not a Pontiac?

Had my 421 built by a friend who was the go-to guy in his Pontiac club for engine building. He broke in the cam on his run stand for me as well. No regrets. Doesn’t leak a drop of oil and I haven’t really done anything to it but adjust the timing for more advance and change the oil. Having a couple of 2276cc VW engines built by trusted people as well. I just don’t have the clean organized work area or the measuring tools not to mention the patience anymore.
