I'm not interested in getting involved in this back and forth crap, but I at least wanted to correct a few wrong numbers. I have NEVER been 1.0 60ft in my car. I don't know where you pulled that number from. The best I ever went was 1.12, read my sig. I have been 1.07 before, but that was when a buddy let me drive his 67 Chevy II that went 4.60's in the 1/8.

As for the other numbers, the best ET my HP combo went was 8.38, the mph was usually 158-159. My CV-1 combo right out of the gate went 8.08 @ 165. So, that's 3 tenths and 6 mph. For whatever reason, my car would never mph as much as I thought it should, with either combo.

That's all I have to say, so carry on....
I stand corrected.

It must have slowed down, there were only like 5 new ports instead of the 20 from the previous 3 years. Lol!

Sorry, couldn't pass that up.

... only thing i still need to button up is the exhaust port on the billet CV-2 head, but it's close, that won't take long ...

That in itself isnt so bad and I'm no saint there either. But answering a question with a non answer or deflection more often than not when a "cv guy" questions you, seems chicken**** and makes you sound like a politician. PoliticalCorectnessTTF? Not here please.

While I have your attention... I know your proud of your turbo buick and thats fine. What or who is your star NA Pontiac that you've built? Shouldnt that be the car to set up races with similar Pontiacs?
Genuine questions and no disrespect intended.
Bruce, not that it's important but I know you think sometimes I'm vague but I can't believe you think TimeWarp isn't.... his posts confuse himself. I pointed one out.

You shouldn't criticize me, all I've done is try to get the story straight with the truth.... unless for some reason you don't want the truth out there. I don't think I've ever avoided answering a question but I like to be clear what the meaning of question is first...Stan was asking a very broad question yesterday and once I thought I understood his point I followed up and he still didn't think I did a good job. I asked him a simple question more than once and still haven't received an answer.

Generally I don't like racing other Pontiacs but occasionally it happens. Very seldom do we grudge the Buick. It's a well known car and it's easy to find out how fast it is. Why do you care about my NA Pontiacs are you trying to set something up?

BTW the Buick has a blower not a turbo.

umm,
you could say the same thing of the detractors.. or do you feel they should get a pass to make any claim they want? not trying to be a smart ass, really want to know as i havent seen you scold them

i remember calvin said some guys came by his display at norwalk few years back and, while looking at his cv-1's, said "these look really nice... but isnt there supposed to be something wrong with them?"
i know john marcella is hitting the 'quote' button right now- lol.. that depends on what the intended goals of the design were- his are different. the goals were to provide a cheaper alternative to a wide port ehead without sacrificing power, which dick fultons dyno comparison proved- his 'as cast' cv-1's produced 30 more hp than his wide port eheads.. same motor, same dyno.
second was that there would be more potential in the design. although dicks 1096hp nitrous motor is the only example thus far, were are working on others. we do this as time and $ permit.

timewarp is unfortunately correct- the internet is a powerful tool to the negative or positive. lets say someone were to run around posting "CV-1's cant make 1000HP" for years, and suggest it was because the design was f'ed up... how many interested buyers looking for real info would read that and decide that- true or not- the purchase wasnt worth the risk?

ive tried not to post here, but slick's post brought up some valid points that i felt needed addressing.

Paul,
Please reread my post #1227 which clearly quotes your and my posts. I will leave it to each person who reads or has read that post to make up their own mind.

Stan, I asked if there has been a thread on LJ's results. ... you never answered that question. That would be the appropriate place to "question" Jack's results. If there was a thread, that's where a normal human being would discuss his build and results. Since you seemed so anxious and for some unknown reason you wouldn't ask him yourself, I asked for you....you saw his answer.

Why do you find it so diffucult to answer a simple question like "do you own any Pontiacs and their accomplishments "? You seem to like asking questions.... is there a reason you don't like answering them?

One thing for sure, if you don't answer questions you shouldn't get your panties all wadded up if another person doesn't answer one.

If I remember correctly there was a thread about LJ's V'heads when he first purchased them and all the keyboard racers were coming up with ridiculous power predictions ..... were you one of those guys and now your embarrassed since you were so far off?

Paul,
Around and around and around we go.

Please reread post #1266

I am not sure if I posted this up or not.

60 Foot ET = 1.2022
330 Foot ET = 3.1799
1/8 Mile ET = 4.8514
1/8 Mile MPH = 146.4371
1000 Foot ET = 6.3063
1/4 Mile ET = 7.5427
1/4 Mile MPH = 182.8124

Why would I be embarrassed by those numbers. I am not the one tuning the car.

Actually I think Dick will be there very shortly. So how could Lil Jack skull drag Dick if he can not run that fast?

Stan

I answered post 1266..... now please answer my questions I've asked you.

Dick will be where very shortly?

How fast is LJ's car and if you know all about it , why are you asking me to ask LJ questions?

Is that 7 second pass from your car? If it's a Pontiac you shouldn't be ashamed of it. Why won't you talk about your car it seems pretty fast?

Btw I don't care who tunes the car , I was just curious about your car. Do you drive it?

Paul,
With this routine you have going on here. Are you Bud Abbott, or Lou Costello?

Have a great day!

Stan, things can get confusing when people pick, and choose what questions they want to answer. Also when they have an agenda they want to get out but don't have the stones to get to the point. Sorry you appearantly have no game in the high performance automotive field and have to hang all your hopes on the performance of some guys car whom you have probably never met. You seem to be very good at mathematics, you might want to stay in that arena.

You have a nice day also!
Paul K (not Bud, Abbott or Lou)
