It looks nice, Tom. Congrats on gettin' her done.

As others mentioned, for some contrast - if it were mine - I'd pony up for a new fuel pump.

Tom:

I will say that the engine looks better than the car. The later build date does mean that you used the correct engine color.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

From the ad it appeared to have a non-number matching motor and the pictures show wrong items in the engine compartment, however the interior and exterior looked pretty good for a red car. Ha, sorry Larry but had to use it

I see the wording now, that was a bit tricky...I think this was the collector in Florida that had 3 or 4 SD cars for sale on eBay a few months back and this may have been the standard 455 car that was upgraded with a SD engine. I think the story was that he bought these cars and then the bank cut his LOC in half as soon as he got the last one home or something along those lines so he was selling several of them.

"1973 Pontiac Trans Am 455 with an original Trans Am 455 Super Duty motor in it"

Still an awesome looking and I'm sure performing car as well!

Here is the description;

- 1973 Pontiac Trans Am 455 with an original Trans Am 455 Super Duty motor in it
- PHS documentation on both the car the Super Duty motor
- Sold new in Miami
- The car has spent its entire life in Florida
- Original Red car with White interior
- Automatic
- A/C
- Power windows, power steering, power brakes
- Tilt steering
- Rally wheels
- AM/FM/8 Track
- Tilt
- Very solid, very fast

It fooled me. I assumed it was the real thing, my bad.
I recorded the auction just to see what this car would bring and could not figure out why they did not feature this car. Well, the TV coverage started with lot # T126 and this car was # T97, I guess it makes sense now, why put a Real SD on the early docket of a Thursday, first day of a 3 day auction?????
Still, for 45K, I think I would pass, even considering it's an Buccaneer car! (Faster)
Oh well, I guess I need to be a bit sharper

SDD

Brewster - I once again am toying with selling one of the 74's. I don't know why but if the price is right, I may let one go. May try eBay in a month or so as I am really watching the market.

Nice ad John, and wish you the best of luck with the sale.
Hopefully it will find a nice new home within our Pontiac community because I'd love to see it in person myself.

Looks pretty dry and original with the hairy hose and all............
LOL, Brew
