Lloyd:

Congratulations!

Start working on your SD snob attitude. It will take at least six weeks to get it usable at a local car show or cruise. LOL

As Bob and I chatted about yesterday, I think I'll place something carelessly over my dash VIN when at a show or cruise-in. Gotta keep all the dweebs guessing as to whether it's a gennie SD car or not, LOL!

I did practice my nose-in-the-air snob look in front of the bathroom mirror this morning. Needs work, definitely needs more work. As an HO owner, I was more accustomed to a sheepish appearance, LOL!

The pully system for the 80 amp Generator is mounted to the engine block on the right side by 3 bolts for the bracket and the 2 more bolts for the slide tensioner. You can find the picture on page 6A-27 of the 74 Service manual. If you don't have it I can e-mail it to you or fax it. Send me a PM and I will send it right out.

BJ, you HO folks aren't gonna get rid of me THAT easy, LOL!

I still have my '72 Formula, 455HO "tribute", "clone", "re-creation", or whatever the non-original muscle car word of the day might be!

Besides, I was posting in the A-body section LONG before I had either of my GTO's!

Just teasing you Lloyd! Congrats on the new car. I like the new Avatar - that color combo is killer on that car. I looked a a 4-speed version of that same car here in Athens, GA last year. It had the blue interior, but that Tuxedo will look great too.

'74 was a great looking body style too. I bought a '74 Formula 455 (D-Port) with the M40 back in 1975, and that car would absolutely FLY!! I can't imagine what an SD 455 would do...maybe you can show me if I'm ever in The Great State of Texas!.

Thanks BJ.

Instead of you coming to TX, maybe I'll just haul the SD over to GA for a BOP show before too long.

My thoughts exactly! Craig must really be a snob lover. Just say it Craig! You really do want an SD car. LOL

It seems to me that there are two kinds of "snobs"

SuperDutyBob posted this a couple of years ago....

Craig:
It's quite clear that you are a 70-73 snob. You got a picture of every car on Saturday evening and somehow missed my 74. Pretty clear to me! LOL

So it seems to me that some of you guys fall into DOUBLE SNOB territory, with both a 70/73 as well as an SD, .....Bob it looks like you and I are always going to be on the outside of some group....LOL

And YES I would like an SD in my garage....But I will have to wait on that one, it went down the tubes with my 401k... NOT LOL

It would be quite a haul from Houston, but maybe I could make that IL show sometime soon. I take it that there's a good showing from the SD snob crowd, LOL?

Is there a website somewhere with details? Or at least, how about a 2009 date and schedule?

EDITING: I found the Cruisin' Tigers GTO club site with 2009 show info.
