Is there a penalty for posting your car picture twice? If so, I'm guilty! This thread needs some yellow ...

In case you don't visit the lobby, the yellow '68 GTO has a new owner. I put it in a Horseless Carriage enclosed trailer yesterday, headed for North Carolina.
It was an awesome machine, but things came up and I had a chance to make some money on it. Considering I never did anything but put gas in it when I drove it, it was the most enjoyable musclecar experience that I've ever had. Mike M

What color is that Fred, Primavera Beige or Mayfair Maize?
Sure makes me think of my old Mayfair Maize '68. Mine wasn't nearly that shiny but still....

My new purchase, just in the process of finding a new rear bumper (chrome) and just finished painting the grill (isn't that fun.......not!). I'll put more pics up in another thread as she comes along.........oh and yes she is right hand drive, I do live in Australia you know :-)

I don't know why I called you Fred in the post above. It's your car that I was asking about. Beige or Mayfair Maize?

BAN01T, I didn't say anything when you posted pics over at TAC, but as beautiful as your car is, I was thinking that the only thing missing for me is the chrome bumper. Glad you're going back with it.
I think the chrome balances out the look of the '68 to '72 models perfectly.

Greg, you are soooo right, I can't wait to find a chrome bumper (not that easy out here), I know this one was hit at some stage and had the chrome removed. I don't know how bad it is under the paint though.
Really, really glad I went the 68 over the 69 (mind you today she needed a new radiator) and I am in the process of fitting dual 3 inch Stainless exhaust system........make her a bit nicer in sound :-)

IMO: Mike's Yellow GTO gets "Most Striking 68" thus far.
Me needs the motivation to get me 68 GTO done mechanically so it can get painted the original Starlight Black. Black Vinl Top, Chrome Front, Rally IIS, Tan Interior. 8.7:1 compression Me needs the motivation..Anybody got such a Black GTO to post...HIS
