Wow, that's pretty cool. I've often thought about that car over the years. I spent 1 year in Ft Wayne as a college freshman.

Good to see the original WS has stayed with the car all these years. Never knew whether Telly got it from John or not.

In looking at the window sticker I see Hood Ram Air Inlet 611 $84.26 I always assumed this was part of the RAIV package. However, it looks like it was a mandatory option. Never knew that. Thanks for posting the window sticker and many thanks for the photos of such a great car!

It was part of the RAIV engine package. Years ago came to the conclusion the dealership double dipped

Thanks for the clarification. I first saw "your" Matador Red RAIV car at the TA Nats years ago. It was the first time I had ever seen a '69 RAIV Firebird 400 car in person. It really made an impression on me.

I was gonna say mine was built the same week but doesn’t have the 611 for ram air inlet, That explains it. Funny how dealerships did things differnt, wonder if the salesman even knew or just checked it to make sure it was included because some of the 400 cars ordered didn’t come in as RAIII but HO instead.

There was a unrestored one a Norwalk last year sitting on the show field side but sitting by the motorhomes along the fence. It was a very complete original car.

Supposedly 102 Ram4 Birds = Non-TA
Going by oPh posted stats that would be 80 4spd + 22 Auto

And 55 Ram4 TA's
46 4spd + 9 Auto

That's coming up with 157 cars
vs. the 161 count
So its getting close somewhere

January 2023 Kissimmee Mecum had a Ram4 4spd TA bring 400k dollars
Was a very prime specimen.

About 100k higher than a similar prime 70 HemiCuda 4spd Hdtp goes for.
And higher than prime 69 Yenko Camaro's by 50-100k
