Exclamation CLOSE ENOUGH, MATTHEW

After a night long battle to save all we could, I had also brought the LeMANS over to the house earlier that day for an up coming show. So it was also a fun time frantically jacking the '66 up while the water kept rising, manged to get it up on stands as high as possible with hopes it would be enough.

I Took this underhand shot the morning after water started to recede.
Whew Just enough...

Kiss my A$$ Mother Nature, not this time!

Here ya go Matt. I had no storage for my '62 Merc. last winter,so it sat in my driveway.

400-4

That spruced up well. If you or anyone else wants 'wax this one up,' go for it. Maybe make it into a contest in a contest.

It's an old scan of a snapshot.

Sunrise at the edge of the continental shelf. Location 72 miles off the coast of Ocean City, MD. The picture didn't capture the color, and it was a rare instance to have such explosive florescent colors. We would pause and try to to catch the green flash as the sun breaks horizon.

Likewise for sunset: Mike H. You taking notes? Might be a good project.

Looks like you were shooting nearly towards the sun. It would have been tough to do even with a "better" camera.

I like it.

Man...What a day this was...Several hundred miles from home. Indecision and negotiations behind me...Paid and paperwork done.

On the trailer.

The 64 GTO I wanted for many years...Since falling in love with a derelict on a rural roadside.

A basket case - but a beginning.

Holy crap dude! Good save! Man, I'd be freaking out.

Hikin Mike - with that user name I just figured you for a hiking fool like me. Sorry to hear about the knees but sounds like you're making the best of it!

I'm still a good ways from needing a replacement. Tore both ACLs in the last three years. Right knee was back in late December 2015 and that took out about 20% of the meniscus too. Feels good after the repair done by the Seattle Sounders/Storm team doc. Left knee was three years ago and has never felt as good. I guess time will tell.

This was from my senior year at The Citadel. Life in the barracks is different to say the least but Christmas was the absolute best time. This was taken 2003 just before Christmas furlough.

I suppose, but this was a cheap digital camera. I think phones these days take better pics.
Funny how my favorite pics are the ones I just snapped at random. We were visiting one of my sons in the USMC stationed at Camp Pendleton for Christmas. We had a cottage on base we were renting, right on the ocean. It was almost 80 degrees that day. I saw my toddler pulling my daughter towards the waves about 150 yards out,so I zoomed in and snapped it,then finished my beer.
