I took my fuel filter and put thicker O rings on. It will seal but its tighter on one cap that the other, like they are not exactly the same size. The outlet ends hole was only 3/8" and it uses a 1/2" hose. I drilled it out to 7/16" then a little more to 11.5mm.
The fuel pump has this very, very fine screen stuffed into the inlet(I guess) side. Its so fine and small enough that it will be a restriction. I will remove it. |

My SM same length as Eddy 72cc E heads -and if pull all the shims out the IH can be near 1.9" with them! I think they are Aussie made from the numbers on the valves.
I have a set of take off E head single springs I'll send you-went with duals for HR. Their valves may not be good enough for solid roller spring pressure-they will tell you that is you ask-some on the 409 heads.. Some of their valves are made by Ferrera but Ferrera will not tell you what quality but hinted more at the 5000 series level.

Unless changed Edelbrock uses a single coil spring.

i have a question about the known dip just below a couple of the intake valve seats.
i had to order a 2 gallon kit of a product by carboline called splash zone 788. while reading about it i seen its used to repair or smoooth out intake ports on both heads and manifolds. would this product be suitable to smooth in the small void in these casting or is it too close to the chambers to be a safe fix? i dont know how much that spot would really affect a street car if any at all but if it could be fixed without welding or anything to exotic i might woukd give it a shot

SZ is a remarkable product.Used a lot by pro head porters in intake manifolds and intake ports. Not sure how it will hold up under the valves.Reher Morrison uses it a lot.Might give them a call.Tom

Any actual drag data or dyno numbers on these heads? I haven't seen any.... just forum discussion? Somewhere someone must be running them?

couple more
its hard to see but its almost as if the valve seat is a bit smaller than the actual bowl area. these are the 78cc 310 cnc heads. its a really small area about quarter inch long and its right where the seat wall meet. u can see where the maching stops and cast starts, its right in that area.
i was gonna get so.e 80 grit sanding rolls an just kinda clean up.the rest of the as cast area and try slightly blending that area in...but then i seen the epoxy i mentioned. what do you think
