Contact them (ECS) and give them your part number. From what I've seen, Only the numbers change for 1971 no matter what model Pontiac you have.. I can't swear for earlier or later years. But yes for 1971. If they don't have it, they can make it with the information they already have.

Default 455 H.O in Germany

Hi, it's been a while since I've been on here. I had to sell my '73 Formula to get a 55 Chevy Two Lane Blacktop Style, but since then I had a 61 Bubble Top and now I have a 70 4 Speed Firebird 350 and my newest one is a pretty rare find I guess. Lucerne blue '72 Trans Am 4 Speed. I found it in a small Country between France and Spain, called Andorra. It is a so called "tax paradise" like Monaco. I will get to the whole story later how I found it. It looks a bit cheesy, but other than the 70's Disco bolt ons, the car is unbelieveable original and rust free. No rust ever. Even the original trunk mat is in perfect conditon. A true Street Machine Survivor although I do not really like the wide wheel wells, it is a real time machine. I kinda like those Rocket sidepipes though Why the old owner did write 6,6 Turbo on the Shaker will remain unknown

Check out:

Plastic front valance, shorty spoiler tips... it definitely looks pretty much all there. Time capsule for sure. Congratulations on finding yet one more of the second lowest TA production cars of all. It's amazing how '72s continue to be found.

Uhhh.... How exactly did you find it???

Car looks ....... great.

Do you have the PHS on it?

Different how they grafted the formula scoops on the steel hood.
Looks like they did a good job of molding them in.

That is a KICK*SS car!.....everything we LOVE to HATE on a early 70's Trans am.

Don't change a THING....TOTAL time warp.

Starlight Black....the only way to properly fix a sunroof is to cut the WHOLE roof off...from the base of the windshield to the tops of the rear quarters....

Cool, glad u like it. I have a few roofs. Have a 70 Body, that is actually too good to cut, but also a 76 Trans AM for Parts. A friend of mine is also a metal working god, he said, it can be fixed without a roof. I'll see.

The only thing I don't like on the car, is that it has AC.

I will make some more pictures soon, and the PHS Service would be good too.

An original blue 4-spd '72 T/A, customized big time, hiding out in Andorra. Bizarre...

Would love to know the full back story on that one.

Very cool car.

The whole thing started as I was sitting in front of my computer on a lazy Monday. I wasn't much motivated to go out to my garage and do the work I had to do. Other than that I was on my usual sites looking for cars and just recovering from a long weekend. I was thinking, mmhh, goin to the gym, or goin to the lake and enjoy the sun and a beer later... hmmm.

I was reloading my "Cars up to '75 since 1 day" site I have installed in my browser which shows me everything that is new on a german car sale platform, and sudddenly there was a 68 Camaro for a ridiculos low price. No picture, and some strange !""§$%&&$%/&%/(($$§%/ where the description was. I was thinking no way, a rip off. I closed the ad. Then in the listing, another car with the same strange price was just the next in line. Can't remember what it was sth european. I opened it and found the same !"§$%&/()?§? stuff. I looked closely and beetween all those signs was a text that said, call for information a car collection is beeing sold bla bla" I saw the phone number and grabbed the phone. Guy answers: "Man how could u know? This is just not really on the net!" I'm not really finished with the ad, and sth. went wrong with the description and no photo yet!" I told him, I'm the early bird, and we're southeners are usually quicker than u guys up north " I said "Just send me a picture and don't put it on, I'm interested" 5 minutes later I had 2 pictures of a 68 Camaro convertible on my mail.

I hold my breath and called the guy again, and told him I take it. He said, that there are other interested and might wanna come tonight. I said nah! I want it! (been missing out on a few 1rst gen Camaros ( 3 barnfinds! Dang!) He said OK, pay me 500.- more and come on this day, I need to get rid of it. We need room!

Then he told me the crazy story! We have bought a whole car collection of a millionaire from Andorra. He has collected 280 cars and with an investor we bought all of them and resell. Oh yes, just the right thing for a car junkie like me...

I called a buddy, "Hey, I need money, u'r truck and u'r trailer, I have to go 600 kilometers to by a Camaro and hurry up!" I had to repeat it a few times, as he couldn't understand as I was talking too fast... Typical Car Psycho syndrom when stuff pops up... U get hot, sweat, stomach feels crazy, have to go to the restroom, etc etc. U probably know that stuff. It's sth. like a hunting adrenalin thing. I have that with old junk cars and it is getting worse. Half an hour later we were on our way.

I walked in, gave him the money and uploaded the car fast, so nothing can happen anymore. Later I checked out what is was. It was a 68 Ragtop 4 Speed with Vette disc brakes and just a 250 six. Was black outside, but originally a gold one with a matching interiour. Interior still original and mostly intact. No rust exept for the wheelwells where they cut a bit metal of to fit the reversed wheels. Sitting a long time and not a good paint job and a few dings, this baby was rock solid!

In the big hall there were about 60 cars. Anything from the 60's to 80's that was either a 4x4 of the strangest kind or some other weird stuff. AMC Eagle Kammback, Renault Alpine, BMW 2002 ragtop, VW Porsche 914, Range Rover 1st series, Citroen SM, Mercedes Coupes, etc etc etc. I will show some pics later. The stuff looked like my car toy box I had as a kid got to Scale 1:1. Even a lot of cars colors matched. It was crazy. My buddy and me bought two other cheap german cars and checked the collection list of other cars. There beetwen Porsches, Ferraris and other exotic stuff, I spotted a blue 1972 Pontiac Firebird that will be shipped there with the next load of the collection. I said. "Call me when this arrives, and reserve it and other american stuff"

I was joking to my buddy. "Man this will be a 4 speed real Trans Am. Blue it is already!" When those pictures u have seen came in a few weeks later, u know what happened. This must be the real deal. My hands became wet, my stomach smaller, head got hot, restroom..... u know the story

I had to tell a price, which was a bit to low for them, then they said "OK we need room, take the Bird, the AMC Kammback, and a 74 Ford Pinto, all for one price. I said "YES!" I quickly resold the Camaro and took another trip up north. The Pinto went to a buddy I know, the AMC is still here and I drive it through the woods until somebody wants it, and yes there was another Andorra Muscle Machine when I visited the 2nd time. A real '73 Mustang Mach1 Q code 4 Speed with a km/h speedometer. Real export version. I took this with me too. Now I'm broke!!! And on Saturday there is a '69 Olds 442 I have to haul home 'cause I promised that before the Andorra invasion was visible. Either u have money and there is nothing to come for months and miles, or u are broke and it is raining Muscle Cars and other junk I want to have. Is there a clinic where guys like me can go to get some help?! Have a nice day!
