2 things, 1 a question and 1 a statment.
weren't the screens inside the side vents suppose to be black, or was there a change along the line?
i would have fixed the missing sway bar bolt and put the rubber back in. only thing that really jumps out at me.

Yes...black. Based on my observations, these screens were originally black phosphate. I believe the screening itself was plated prior to being cut for these vents. Original, untouched 70-71 TAs I have observed seem to have had these vent screens dip painted black over the black phosphate prior to being glued in as the paint looked thick a gloppy on the screens. Mine were like that as well. I actually separated the screens from my vents to paint them and where the glue took that thick paint off, it was easy to see the phosphate plating. Original 73-74 cars I have seen did not have the thick black paint, just the black phosphate. I have not seen an original 72 so I don't know when this process changed. Late 70s TAs had body colored screens. Not sure what year they started that.

FWIW, that screening is the same screening used for the formula ram air hoods. Again, I believe the screening was plated prior to being cut and bent into shape for the scoop openings. I don't think it was ever painted for this application however.

I spotted the rear sway bar bolt out.....

This car SHOULD have trim rings...but I understand wanting to show off those expensive wheels....

Also,notice the later style front seatbelts with retractors......and plastic covers over the shoulder straps...(thought that was an "after strike" deal?)

I believe those are the correct seat belts for this car. My '72 Formula and '72 T/A were both built the third week of December '71 (12C) and both have this style of belt in them.

They are quite similar to the '73 model year belts (but not exactly the same).

Late built 72's (Sometime in December 71 and later) Had that style seat belt. That is where the switches for the "belt minder" were housed. The speedo was also changed to add the belt light and the late cars also got amber front turn signal lenses

Most of my 72's are early builds......I have a Feb 24 build with the later style belts...

Honestly, I don't know why but I look for cars with A/C. All 4 of my cars have it (2 with ATC) and I only turn it on to keep everything working. When I drive the cars, I want the windows down. All the noises from these cars are all part of what I want to hear when I drive them.

That said, I still look for cars with it

All my cars have A/C cause I drive more than I race. I don't have any trailer queens. Besides I'm an option kinda guy. My '71 T/A go at least 20 to 25,000 miles a year. But that's why they make vanilla and chocolate. JMO

that's what makes the world go around. everyone is different. if it were my daily driver it must have a/c. but on my musclecars, my preference has always been no a/c with a 4 speed.

That's where I'm at....auto with AC & power windows is OK,......but make MINE a stripped down STICK with NO AC & crank windows.......

Amen brother. I dont mind an auto or a stick for my toy's,but my daily driver does have A/C and all the power goodies.

09C build date and he claims it is the last automatic 72 T/A built "#827"?????? I think the owners of the rest of the cars built from October to April might have issue with that.

I love the Ford "CAUTION FAN" sticker.

1973 fenders, 1973 one piece A/C lines, aftermarket A/C POA valve, generic non-bleeder master cylinder, unpainted intake.

Looks nice, good low stance, nothing a weekend of replacing parts couldn't fix.

Gotta change that single spaced all-caps font in the ad, though - my eyes are bleeding.

Not sure on the 1971 strike. But, in 1970 the strike was in Sept around 15th of 1970??

Maybe he meant that: its early build and last before strike??

But, not liking the white cowl and seal segments.

Didn't go to Steve's online detail school for 72 TA....Fenders replaced in a weekend??

The valve stems aren't indexed. Other than that, nice looking ride.

Positives: Body panels line up very well, appears to be born with block..
the rest: without a 3 man crew, see more time than a weekend to sort out the detailing under the hood & under the body, cowl appears to have been sandblasted at one time, thus appearance of cowl tag

interior needs a considerable amount of work, orig carb? orig distrib? exhaust system needs at least correct tailpipes & tips

Last white auto '72 built... not by a long shot. '72 Norwood UAW strike did not start til April 6, 1972. Last '72 T/A's had body asm dates of 03E, & possibly an 04A bodied T/A will appear.

LOL. Well if the fenders were already painted, that is.

The 1972 strike was in early April of 1972.

I sent him a polite e-mail mentioning that maybe he should edit out the "#827 ...the last automatic T/A built" stuff. Here is his response:

"not according to all the archive we researched including hemmings"


So obviously he is an expert in archiv-ology.

Especially with the Ford "CAUTION FAN" sticker, he has most definitely researched all the Camaro archives out there.
