I'll be at Norwalk with George and Stallion on the KRE side of the field. Not saying I'll be the fastest by any means, and not my goal. Just there to have fun and go fast a 1/4 mile at a time. Maybe George and I can get a run together to show you all how 2 heavy cars run with Kauffman parts.
Cgeise, I mean no disrespect to you or anyone else that enjoys throttle stop racing. I know it is an extremely competitive type of racing. It's just not for me. I find it boring. Way of base from original thread ? Nah, not us. Usually you get your answer in the first few posts. The other 10 pages are just jaw jacking about whatever the guys want to talk about. Right ?

There is no Kauffman Side, Dil, The Kauffman's are on the Pit side, the Butlers are on the Pit side, The Racers naturally are on the Pit side. Vendors like our Host are on the Car Show/ Parts/ Swap Meet side. I think you will like the Norwalk Track's "new look" as the pits are completely paved. Bring some kind of a Awning/Canopy deal to sit under as the black asphalt will be hot in the sunny part of the day.
Hope to meet you there. Tom V.

Hi Tom,
My remark about the Kauffman side was just meant for the divided guys here. We went to Norwalk last year for the first time. Loved it. 600 Pontiacs racing. Butler, Kauffman, All Pontiac, I love'em all.

I just like watching Pontiac's race, the quicker the better.
IMHO, I don't care who's parts they run, and the more work that's done by the owner the better. I'd rather watch a guy run 9.50 in a car that he built the motor, and did most of the chassis work in, than a 7.50 car that was store bought. But that's just me. |

I agree with you on both counts. Mike is a SUPER guy, and if you do what you can on the car you're good with me.
Like you, I'm smart enough to know when it's better to pay someone to do something rather than me mess it up.

David Holmberg and ONEFASTLEMANS, I like the way you both think!!!! Settle it on the track and more importantly, have fun doing it!!! Like to be there if the funds show up... We'll see what happens...

![]() Keyborad racing is getting old. I wish my heads would get here. I'll actually be building my car rather than talking - you guys won't see me online until it makes some passes! |

Even John Force worries about where and when his Ford money is going to show up. I can tell you that deal for a fact.
John is a heck of a racer but he is also a businessman and is always worrying about the business climate vs his racing efforts. Tom V.

Well...there's only one other member on this board building a funny car, and he doesn't post anywhere near as much as I do, so it was assumed you were talking about me. As to the other member not getting his funny car done quick enough to suit you, perhaps if he weren't spending money defending himself from a frivolous lawsuit, he could have it finished by now.

Hole's getting deeper. Chit getting higher. Bench racing is easy (seems like some guys on this forum live on it). Bring your cars to Norwalk, have fun, and hold onto your time slips. Data driven information please. BS and soap boxes really have no place in reality.
