Default My 2 cents

I think that the Warp 6 head should not be allowed in the heads up race at Norwalk. Only because they are not available to the general public, only the few who they want to have them can have them this far , or so it seems. JMO.

And no im not running in it next year , that's not the reason for this post.

Are the old RA V heads available to the general public?
The old early SD stuff?

Just because YOU don't have a set, don't cr@p on others.

Oh, and just my 2 cents worth.

John, why would someone want to run that old junk in a heads up race?

You make no sense at all!

Only to you???

Because you don't understand something, doesn't make it nonsense.

I think the rules were for Pontiac power, not run only what ECM guys want.

Maybe they should outlaw all the welded non-cast intake manifolds?

This post was started by John Marcella. He is not in the ECM.

Michigan is not on the east coast.. Maybe one of your calculators will figure that out for you..

Yes

Just KRE has them so "potential" is probably hampered there!

Marcella obviously has visions he can get to reality as seen by his manifolds. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one stopping by his pit to check out "Marcella Heads."

LOL, I would love to do it, but I sure as hell would not do it for 1 race a year. Not going to happen this year, maybe never.
Would need a bigger motor to take use of it first.

Its got me thinking though

I don't have a dog in this fight, but why wouldn't KRE want more of their heads out there and seeing just how fast they could go???? Why spend the money to produce them and then not sell them to certain people?? Why not let those people willing to buy them and work on them and get the WHOLE Pontiac world recognized do so???? I don't get it. Its just like congress, don't let the "other" side get credit for doing something good. The POLITICS in the Pontiac world are worse than women fighting over a pair of shoes. The reason to produce products is to sell them.....if KRE could sell another 10 sets of Warp 6 heads, what is a good enough reason not to? Why not have the heads that won the Heads up class be Warp 6's??? Or the quick 16? Or the Frantic 4? Or sweep all the classes??? Seems the vendetta is holding back where the Pontiac world could go. Can you imagine National Dragster or Yellow Bullet talking about the Pontiac world having several 5 second cars or dominating the heads up classes???? I'm not the CFO of KRE but I would think that if I wanted my business to grow I would want my parts in the best racers hands so they could reach the maximum potential and force the "other" guys to step up their game. Then when the BBC guys (and others) saw what could be done with a Pontiac they would check it out and buy a set too. Maybe somebody would enter them in the Engine Masters Challenge......Who knows where it could lead to. But this petty crap over what has been said and done in the past is just juvenile. Marcella would sell an intake to anyone who would pay for it whether for CV-1, Edelbrock, RAV, or Warp6. In the famous words of Rodney King, "Can't we all get along?". Off my soapbox now.

Probably, true.

The heads were/are for sale since they came out.
No one seemed to 'want' a set or willing to pay for them.
Now, all of a sudden they want one?

Give me a break.

None of these so called buyers want one of them, or at least willing to pay what the price is for them.

If they were really interested in them, they would be talking to Jeff and not haranguing their products on thousands of posts here.

I'm sure if they 'Show Him The Money' they would sell a set.
But then they would have to worry about their probably doing the 'special work' to make them unfit for use then blaming them for making garbage products.

As I said before Jeff and I talked to Mark at Norwalk and he told us he would have to make 40 sets and it would take years to sell those 40 sets and he had no plans of getting anymore made.

Jeff and I were not joking about buying a set and would have paid the meager $3600 for a bare set! King Kinsler has deep pockets!

And as far as screwing a set up, I don't think Gaby would screw a set up!
I had plans to send a set to him for a max effort nitrous motor for the eighth mile heads up class that I locally run. Where most run high 4.70-5.20s. It would have been nice to get a set and show the Ford and Chevy boys what a Pontiac could do!
