Robben
What is central locking? I have never heard of it. Yep, this is great stuff. And I don't even have one. |

My parents had a '67 Atoll Blue GP when I was a kid...factory fender skirts, Frt Disc. Brakes,
White Vinyl Top w Pearl White seats, door/interior panels, headliner and black carpet / dash, etc. Ben, I remember the FS ad for this '67 "Grand Prix" wagon (conversion) and take from your post here that you purchased it? Good for you if so. What are your plans, if any for the car? Color? etc. |

Yup. I've been after this car for over 10 years and finally was in a position to get it. Interior cleanup is the big plan right now, the paint could stand to be redone but it's a perfectly presentable 20 footer right now which is "good enough" for me. Maybe some engine upgrades in the future after that.

Notice how he put a KPH scale on the top of the speedometer.

Robban,
I think you need to make the Sweedish Holiday calendar complete with Sweedish model posing with you rcar. |

Euro speak for power door locks. Actually until recently most European cars literally had central locking by having only one switch and it was in the middle of the car (console, center dash etc) which was a PITA because you had to climb in to open the other doors.

I know that this is supposed to be about your own cars but found a few interesting wagon shots lately.
Here is one that's a copy of a I dream of Jeannie car right down to the NASA plate

A nice factory shot of a 69 that I've never seen before.
Note the incorrect mirror, must be an early pre-production shot, same exact location as that factory photo of a red 68 GTO convertible with 69 doors and a 1969 front plate.

Interesting on the '69 wagon. Power antenna since no aerial seen on the right front fender. No head rests either. They didn't become a federally mandated requirement until Jan 1, 1969 so on early productin cars it could have been optional. At least now we know '68 doors can be used on '69's and vice versa.
The '68 wagon has a/c and 8 lugs. Probably lots more as well. What's the reference to "I Dream of Jeannie"? I just remember Nelson in a blue GTO and the doctor in a big Bonneville convertible. |

there was an identical wagon to this car, someone reproduced it and even got a NASA plate for effect.
I'm no fan of 68 big Pontiac styling but I always had a soft spot for the wood grain treatment on the front fenders.

Been for sale for a while, a GTO\Judge restorer had it around here locally advertised a while at a price to scare the demo derby guys away. It is pretty nice despite the (new) exhaust falling off on the way home. No rot anywhere, just some surface rust that you'd expect on a 40 year old car. It was actually cheaper to buy a rust-free (and higher optioned) car than it was to just buy quarters for my '74...
