Roger that. Oh, and there are a number of speedo cables listed on rockauto depending on the length of your original one: 61", 80" etc. I would not cut one to fit since they have a crimped end fixed in place.

Thanks guys, you're right. When the 3.73 gears were put in, the speedometer gear was never changed, so the red 37-tooth gear will be correct. Thanks for the links and the help!

Wow BJ!!! That looks awesome! The stripes really change the attitude of the car and as Bob said, you and MPR hit it out of the ballpark with that Formy. You should consider bringing it to the TA Nats this year. We'll have a mini Formula convention with Bob's, Mike's, Craig's (TA), Dan's, and my cars, not to mention, you can caravan with Mike & Craig on the way over.

Thanks guys, I haven't even seen it in person yet, since the stripes went on. I am in Bowling Green, KY for a big Corvette event and won't see it until I get back tomorrow afternoon. MPR told be to be ready to grin and drool!
(Insert The Boss' drooling dog photo here.) Still have some other things yet to do on the interior, and to get the alignment of the exhaust tips done, but it is coming together nicely. Can't wait to get it out of the shop and actually drive it. I Dennis, I am seriously considering bringing the car to the NATS. BJ

BJ - not sure what your best route is to the Nats, but you would be welcome to layover here if you wanted. I'm about 3 hours from Fairborn and have more bourbon than cars....
BTW - you need to change your avatar and make it official that you have a new horse in the stable. |

Thanks Chris! The burn-out video will have to wait for the new ring and pinion to get past the first few hundred miles; and I've still got to get the transmission shifting resolved. I think it's in the converter shift kit a previous owner installed. All that will get sorted out by my transmission guy when he installs the new cable, and gear to get the speedometer working again.

Another quick update:
Exhaust installation is completed, and tips are now correct. Clock is out and Tach is in and works great! New speedometer cable and drive gear arrive tomorrow - once installed the Speedometer will be functioning again. All that remains on my original list, is to get the radio working, get the AC working and get the seat belt rash on the lower door panels smoothed and re-dyed/painted. After that, I plan to just grin and drive it! Planning to come to the TA Nats with it. Where is everyone staying and when is everyone going up? BJ

The host hotel is the Holiday Inn in Fairborn, Ohio. They have a TA Nats rate, but the last I heard it was sold out. Next closest is the Homewood Suites, followed by a Fairfield Inn. Most people arrive on Friday as the show takes place on Saturday and Sunday. If you are trailering, they have great parking available for your truck and trailer.. You'll need to pick up your credentials inside the Holiday Inn and then drive your car through "Tech" to insure you are placed in the correct classification of stock, modified, heavily modified, or some such classification. Be sure to bring a folding chair.

my stock appearing Formula was placed in modified for similar reasons. "settle down"?
