That white 73 cars looks like the real deal even though it needs lots of detailing its all there including resonators on the exhaust system.
Notice the difference between the two cars with similar mileage. Night and Day! |

Hard call unless one could see the car and or talk to the owner to find out MORE about it.
I'll tell you what no one is going to bid on it at a starting price like that! |

Nice car but I have to agree it looks like it has had some resto done. It doesn't have the sticker on the drivers side valve cover, wonder where that went. I don't think he will get any bids where he is starting out, especially in todays market.

Question on the eBay '74 Formula SD. When did they put the Firebird emblem on the dash? Neither of the A/C Formula's I have have it, only the non-A/C Formula does (placed where the A/C ducts are). And, the starter by-pass relay in the engine compartment looks like the 2nd design unit.

Just curious,...what would we say that White '73 is worth in today's market?

HFR, I noticed that emblem too, and new that was out of place. It's weird how some people place these cars up for sale with many things out of place but yet describe them as original factory cars never touched.

The seller's description details why the valve cover decal was moved.
I do enjoy reading about a car's "history", like this SD Formula. Mark

There is an SD in town here that was just sold a week ago or so with only 186 original miles. The engine compartmrnt in it was not near as nice as this so called "never detailed" Formula with 47,000 miles on it. I too noticed the seat belt interlock switch being the non original one. Look how shiney the oil fill cap is! Things are just a little too clean under there for never having hgad anything more than a "wipe down".
Brew is correct in that it will not get any bids with that starting price. What does he think it is..... a Trans Am? Formulas just don't bring the dollars of a T/A even though they are waaay more rare. Especially a 74. And the color combo is.......well.....just not for everyone!

Bob, he sold it huh ? the wish I had gotten to see that car and hope you took about three hundred pictures to doc it ?
History is hard to replace or like impossible. Think will see that car at the poci or did it go to a collector that doesn't show'em ? |

Was the SD that sold a 73 or 74? I'm assuming it's a Trans Am, but what color combination? I agree on the color combination of the 74 Formula, you put it in a very diplomatic way, especially with the vinyl top. I'd much prefer to take the 73 white SDTA with "Buckskin" interior as described in the ad (aka Saddle Custom). The VIN for the 73 is not in the SD Registry. |

Hey fella's, we touched on this before, but can someone post a couple of good pics and some measurements of length and any head markings of one of the eight bolts that hold down the fender braces? I think I may have a lead on some and I want to be sure they're correct.
Thanky! |

Muscle Car Review - March, 2009
Good article about Bandit cars and Super Duties. The only thing that gets me is the 73 car noted in the article is stated as an 12k mile unrestored original car. Its another example of car owners not telling the truth about their cars ![]() Replaced parts inside and out but yet documenting original and unrestored. If someone restores a car used one of these as an example they would be going down the wrong path making expensive mistakes due to owners not stating correct facts. Just goes to show how rare original cars are and what not to do and or say when posting information for publication. LOL, Brew My two cents, Brew |
