That GNX reminds me of what we used to call "Chicago cars" when I lived in northwest Indiana.

If he put that many miles on it, and let it get like that, it makes me wonder how much he payed for it.
I'll bet the title history for that car shows more than three owners...

I wonder if the body can be removed and remounted on a regular '60 frame?

Could be a good deal if they still have the catalina chassis so you could put it back together.

I have a complete '60 Catalina safari chassis that this could drop right on. Too bad I'm in NC.

That's a pretty nice wagon. Not crazy-hard to put it back where it should be and love the color on that particular car.

I don't really like any of these conversions. But, I must admit that this one looks better than any I've seen. It's not the hermaphrodite that most of them are.

I would never do that to an original car, but since it's already been done... I kinda like it.

Flame on!

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/4093016434.html

This is an incredible, 1968 Pontiac GTO! This NUMBERS MATCHING GTO is certain to turn heads, with painted-on gold fire-on-black paint and a powerful 350hp V8 Engine!

• His & Hers Hurst Shifter, this car is a screamer!
• Brand New GTO steering wheel correct for the car!
• No Rust anywhere! Completely solid floor pans and trunk!
• Hidden Headlights option INSTALLED!
• Front Disc Brake Option INSTALLED!
While most 1968 models had drum brakes all around, this seldom ordered option provided greater stopping power.
This car is a favorite at car shows!
This car is the perfect choice.

The GTO won the 1968 Motor Trend Car of the Year award.

Don't miss your chance to drive this rare classic beauty!

But hey, it's got a real Judge sticker kit, so that makes it a "legit clone".
I guess authentic stickers cancel out ugly ass incorrect hoods in the cloning bible.

"Will blow the tires off the rims. Never really drove it or took it to the track."
So how would he know that?
