That color really works on the later Judge. Astounding and historic car, just wow.

Did you look at it today? I agree but it's still a very interesting car and story.

Default The Last Judge

I looked at it and met Holly, the original owner’s daughter. Very sweet girl who is thrilled to own such a cool piece of history. I loved the car - but would definitely paint that bumper.

I was also surprised to see that the steering column was painted to match the Sandlewood interior, but the window sticker shows the car came with Formula Wheel option. I thought that triggered the column to be painted black?

Another thing I noticed was that it had the filler panel between the core support and grill, with two hood springs. Seems like there was a discussion on which cars came with the filler panel and IIRC it was the AC cars that got it, but this one is not an AC car.

It was hard to get good photos with as many people milling around, but here are the ones I took:

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
Steering column was not painted black on formula wheel cars. Always interior color.

Maybe that's a difference between Tempest/Lemans/GTO vs Firebird;
The firebird always had a black column to match the Formula wheel setup.

Firebirds are different. I can show you an original buildsheet that shows formula wheel option with steering column color box showing sandlewood color.
Has this car been painted? I keep looking at pictures and it looks like the gaskets under the mirrors are painted over. Anyone else notice this?

It’s been a while since I went through the thread but I thought I read it had a repaint at some point?

Looked at the Judge yesterday....a real time capsule but definitely been repainted but strangely not the endura. In my humble opinion I think the car has to be restored and the nose painted.

There's no need for that.
I have no reason to not trust you.

I learned something new!

This is a really neat car (but would be cooler with a manual transmission!);
I hope it gets a magazine article... preferably in my favorite, HMM.

How do we know that the guy didn't have the bumper painted black when he had the car repainted? And shouldn't it have had the pink,orange and blue stripes when it was new. Maybe he had the bumper painted to match the black stripes which was probably the only color you could get from the factory in the time frame of the repaint

good thought I for some reason had thought it was an original paint car until you pointed out the repaint.
