Thanks! They are a little large but I like the look. They are P255/70R15 on wheel Vintiques 8" rims.

I'd trade my GTO for a Tempest or LeMans in cleaner condition in a heartbeat.

I hear you! I don't get hung up on the name, it's the basic lines of a 68-72 A-body that I love. In fact I tried to buy a Buick Skylark prior to getting my Lux LeMans but lost the bid. This thing was a survivor with a dent in the passenger door only and 65K original granny miles on it. The car almost looked brand new, even had a rear window defroster!

Well, finally got my '71 LeMans T41 ready to roll.
Bought it a year ago after it had been imported from California. It's an unbelievably clean solid low mile car with a nice paintjob. Was Quezal Gold, now some modern Lucy Blue variation, early nineties GM color.
It still has an original "Made in USA 1970" stamp on the bottom of the gastank showing clearly!

It was already cloned into (and put up for sale as) a GTO so no more LeMans Sport emblems and fender gills. If they hadn't been removed before I would have definately kept it a LeMans Sport.
I Just added the wing, stripes, wheels, eibach springs, and some other stuff. Got the hood tach painted too, but I'm afraid to drill my mint hood without a template...
Still got some plans for the future; loose the 2.56 peg leg, add QR steering box and a thick formula steering wheel.
It might not be a "real" GTO, but I'm darn proud of it!

erik

Hi BJ!
Cool! I though you'd be the first to comment!!!

I loved this one right when I first saw it, it was the perfect foundation to build my favourite '71.
even though it isn't nearly as musclular as your 455 monster ('72 400 with a TH350 with 2.56 pegleg, so this is pretty much just a cruiser right now....)

Not sure if I'll visit the states soon or not....there's still a small chance I might go to either the POCI convention in Bowling Green or just go drive around florida.
My summer holiday begins june 26th.....
Both options are still open...... Need to make up my plans within a week.

erik

Well - if you do decide to cross the pond, let me know if your route passes through ATL.

It wouldn't take much to wake that car up Erik. For now -just enjoy cruising in it. One of these days the right Lucy Blue car will find me!

I just love steelies and dog dishes on a tempest or lemans. I'd like to find some for my 72 to run around on the street with... they're hard to find

How many do you want ? I have enough NOS and take off's to make a couple a sets. 72's are a one year only. The Steelies can be hard to find.I have a set of those as well, but am keeping them for my 72 GTO.You can always get them from Wheel's Vintiques out of California.

I am looking for 4. I don't care if they are 72's. The 70-71 style would be great. I just think they would be cool on my lemans
