You should have headed over to Rose Tree Park in Media, PA for the Salute The Troops Show Saturday. I say you would have won an award. Show field of over 300 cars but only 6 or 7 66/67 GTOs and only one 64. Great show and a beautiful day. Could have been your maiden voyage out with the Goat.

Sounds like a good time Gary and for a good cause too.
I wish I had known about that show.
I am involved in a charity called CarznToyz. Its a group of car guys getting together to help sick kids.
We collect toys for hospitalized and sick children.
We are hosting the second annual car show Thanksgiving morning from 9-12.
All the local guys from here are invited

Another crisp Fall morning out in the GTO with My photog Mike Mauro and my Corvette buddies.
Last week was the first time I took the car out and it ran perfectly.
Today was a different story. The speedo went crazy as i was driving down the highway, making very loud humming noise, bobbing from 0 to past 120. Finally the needle broke off. Its going to be a nightmare pulling the dash and replacing the cluster. Good winter time project
Nice pics by Mike today.

Yeah, I know about them bugs.

Supposed to be a clip that holds it to the frame bottom.
I'll have to get you a picture, if you need it.

Dominic,

Should be able to. Can't believe I don't have one on file.

Look on the bottom of Page 13-3 in the shop manual, there is a picture of it.
Second picture, it's at the bottom right. Just slides on to the frame bottom to hold secure. It's about 1/2" wide and 1 3/8" long, I believe.

Dominic,
That is a beautiful car. Thanks for the pictures and thanks to Old Goat for noticing the seal and telling us about the clip. I will need two of them for my car but don't know where to find them.

absolutely stunning, I love the color combo, thanks for all of the pictures and the great info provided.

I also agree with you that this is a great resource of good guys sharing information about these cars.

I too would be lost without all of the help from these guys!

Well winter is over and I am back on the GTO again fixing some odds and ends from my maiden voyage last fall.
My speedo needle broke off and I have a new speedo to install.
I am hoping someone on here has a easy magical way to replace this.
My car has factory A/C with an aftermarket radio/cd player in the glove box.
Its going to be a drawn out ordeal just to pull the dash and cluster.
I been putting this off.
Any easy way of doing this?

Default Best of Show

I took the GTO out of hibernation from the long winter and headed out to a car show.
Out of about 150 cars the GTO took Best of Show. Needless to say I was overjoyed!

That's the kind of trophy you have to take apart to get it home. LOL

Congrats Dominic.

The GTO is supposed to be in front of the Vettes.... not behind em.

A goodfriend of mine, Mike Mauro took the time to shoot my GTO.
Mike considers himself an amateur photographer but I would put him on a level of any professional. His work is amazing. We set out on a Thursday night at dusk and headed into Philadelphia. Once the sun went down, his magic began!

I like the last picture the most! I have said it before but it bears repeating; that is one beautiful automobile!
