Warning--I'm not following the rules! sorry

This a picture from last month of my 4 year old in my old Beatnik Halloween costume from 1963 or 1964. For some reason, I kept it and the box too. It has not been worn since the 60's. I always took care of my stuff as you can see. (Yes, I am an old guy with a wife that is 12+ years younger.) My 8 year old refused to wear it--can you blame him? No, I did not make the little guy wear this trick or treating.

Cool............lol.

I had to post this dang picture somewhere and didn't want to start a thread for it......................

Thumbs up

Third pic, cleaning and gapping a plug.

Any guess on what the second girl is doing under the car?

I just hope they're not staged.

my first new car, I was 16 years old...

...68 GTO conv. 4-spd...punished it for 18K miles...traded it 10 months later for a new 69 Chevelle conv SS 396/375 4-spd

...the GTO was tired when I traded it in...it was on it's 3rd set of tires, it had a bent hood, 2nd engine, 2nd rear end, 2 clutches, trans problems, 2 badly bent wheels, torn top(it did that twice), and a bullet hole in the rear quarter...had a lot of fun with that GTO

pix 1-4...the GTO, me and my girlfriend

pix 5......the Chevelle SS 396/375 4-spd I replaced it with...drove it 80K miles in 18 months...it also needed an 2nd engine, a clutch, trans, and several sets of GoodYear Polyglass tires...this car beat everything the GTO lost to

...this magazine started my obsession for a 68 GTO...I carried this magazine to school daily, read it over and over again...in the springtime I ordered a new 68 GTO conv and waited 6 weeks for it to be delivered to Wells Pontiac in Richmond In.

...I still have the magazine too

...we had a Maxwell Plant in our town, it was built in 1907...the first annual "Maxwell Nationals", downtown New Castle Indiana, 1907

...100 years later Maxwells were shipped to New castle Indiana from all over the world for a week of fun, cruising and a re-enactment of the original photo shoot...same corner 100 years later...

Hey, thanks all for sharing on this thread. It is turning out to be a fun thread to look up. Some of the comments about new and low mile GTOs going through tires and engines, etc is actually very typical of most all musclecars of the day. Funny how today, everything is 'numbers matching' and all pampered.

Keep them coming everyone. Old pics of just about anything, personal or otherwise. Just interesting stuff to look at. Adding some text to the pic, when possible, just makes it all the better.
