Further evidenced by the positioning of the rear view mirrors which he is completely ignoring. But then, that could be because of the little hottie with her arms wrapped around his waist. She's cute!

4 funnies we saw--in '73 there must have been 30-40 there for qualifying--the most awsome show i've ever witnessed--or maybe its just because it was my 1st funny encounter!

here's the crosswalk i stood on 2 watch the funnycar qualifying. can almost feel it vibrating & ears ringing, eyes watering--definately 1 of my most unforgetable days!!!

Those were the days to be a funny car fan, so many to choose from and so many characters driving them. The coolest paint jobs, too. I have car magazines that date from the 50's to current, and the early 70's had the best looking funny car shoots ever done.
