4 funnies we saw--in '73 there must have been 30-40 there for qualifying--the most awsome show i've ever witnessed--or maybe its just because it was my 1st funny encounter!

here's the crosswalk i stood on 2 watch the funnycar qualifying. can almost feel it vibrating & ears ringing, eyes watering--definately 1 of my most unforgetable days!!!

Those were the days to be a funny car fan, so many to choose from and so many characters driving them. The coolest paint jobs, too. I have car magazines that date from the 50's to current, and the early 70's had the best looking funny car shoots ever done.
