They probably all were. The picture of Sonny Rays 1972 GTO 455HO with the door open may not seem all that important but, it can be for documenting purposes on GTO sedans.
That GTO was the first NHRA legal GTO in the 10s if I remember correctly.

They are probably a few years newer than you remember. I see a Monza and a Mustang II- neither existed in 1973, I'd guess a couple years later 1975-8 era.?

the cars shown are cars that TJ & I both saw race--probably at the cajun nationals in '75-78--she took the pics. the big show that I saw was at amarillo in '73--TJ did not go--i went alone & did not take any pics. we both went back 2 am. in '76 along with some racin buddies. thats when TJ got the pics of the crosswalk & don garlits. an interesting side note here--there were no fuel funnies at am. that year--they boycotted the race for some reason which i don't remember now. after seeing such a good show in '73 & talkin it up 2 the others, we were REAL disappointed after we drove all the way out there & they didn't show! sorry about the confusion-wasn't tryin 2 mislead anyone--just tryin 2 condense a longer post some. anyhow, we saw some great shows back in the day. ps: some items in our srapbooks & records may not be exactly correct--especially dates--& my memory can certainly be fuzzy on some of it. but for sure my 1st national event was '73 at am. & our last 2 attend was the cajuns in either '78 or '79. thats my story & i'm stickin 2 it(til somebody proves me wrong--lol)

Amen Brother, Amen! Those who did not experience those awesome fields of Drag Cars in all classes in the late '60s and through the '70s will just never understand the thrill of seeing a 30+ car quali runoff IN A SINGLE CLASS! Thank you for posting your pics - excellent!

Model: possibilities are......Trophy 500 with single carb (note single gauge pod) as I recall,only dual carb models came with a tach...

If the offroad exhaust is original,it COULD be a Bonneville 650 TT model,which came with a tach & NO speedo...That one is highly collectable/desireble in stock form,not unlike a Ram Air IV Trans am...

It's LIKELY a Hollywood "bitsa bike".......Heinz 57....looks good on camera,but not TOO good,so as to attract attention AWAY from the star....

(this is just off the top my head.....need to go to my "library" to confirm....)
