Well, if three 2 barrels are good (TriPower), then six should be outstanding, right?

This is a real Pontiac "Six-Pack".
Wieand Drag Star.

For those in the know- it's a 1955-60 intake.
Rather than modify it for late model heads- it's going on top of a 1959 389.

Won't be the first time I've built a whole new car around a set of carburetors.
(then replaced the carburetors).

Not sure what the body style the engine will go into just yet. TBD.
An early coupe, no hood. And some body lines & tail lights that appeal to me.
That's all I have for a concept so far.

Fabricated some prototype actuation linkage for the Bug Catcher, and a throttle return.
Works great.

The mockup 3D Printed Bracket will be replaced by 4" 6061 Angle as soon as I get done machining it- and the temporary 12" 1/4" steel rod will be replaced with SS & Heims.

The temporary Weber 4" 5mm Heim linkage will also be replaced with 1/4" SS & Heims as well, soon as those parts arrive.

Replaced the 3D Printed Bellcrank yesterday- with one from Ron's FI that arrived yesterday.

Cole took my daily to work, so I took his Ventura out to run an errand across town. Cole complains about how much it rattles and squeaks, but I think it's a pretty solid driving little car.

Ran into them at a local cafe - very curious about the Pontiac. Their Skoda has a 2.0 liter diesel that does 110 horsepower - very lazy they say, but excellent mileage and very reliable.

Body shop delivered it. 75 Formula. One of the things I really liked was the repair of the left bumperette. It had broken away from the mounting stud. They reattached the piece and doctored it up. Now the 'fun' begins.

I missed it! Upholstery shop called and said my Catalina is done, unfortunately my son’s graduation party from highschool was this weekend. People in from out of town and state, so have to pick up next weekend. Argh!
Hats off to my sons though. My grandfathers’62 Mercury, which he left to me when he passed in ‘86, had a massive leak at the transmission front pump seal. I had the part on hand, and they decided to tear into it and get it done for me, as I’m in no condition to tackle this myself after my surgery. Leak fixed, and back on the road so that I could actually drive it to the graduation party we had for him this afternoon. I didn’t ask them to do this, they just decided to jump on it because they knew I couldn’t, and I’m jonesing to get out and drive one of my old cars. They could have spent the night laying around BS’ing and visiting, but were out in my garage till 1:30 AM, and then finished it early this AM!
It’s great to have considerate kids who love to turn wrenches and get dirty!

Cool! Nice to know someone else had one. They are kinda rare, even when I got it back in the 80’s. It isn’t worth much, but lots of sentimental value because of it being my grandfather’s.
I always disliked the fact that he got baby blue, but living in Tucson, I suppose he wanted a light color, and maybe they didn’t have a white one in stock? It’s a solid car, just surface rust, but he sure smashed up all 4 corners! I remember as a kid I was down there visiting and he backed right into a lady with me in the car.

Participated in the summer car show at the House of Hotrods. The Bird stood out with its original Coronado Gold as one of the better metallics in the group. Second gen turnout was nice with a '71 Formula 455 (blown) and two '73 Formulas. The orange one was a 383 stroker though with the new ACES FI package. The '78 Bandit was in the shop for some upgrades.

Oh, we will. Figured we’d start with our own cars, and then spread out to friends and family. I don’t want to drive off customers. Plan on getting my sons Chevelle, my Mercury, and a cousins ‘70 Cuda for starters.

Come on over! The pizza is actually excellent, not run of the mill garbage. Friday fish fry, wings, daily specials, and more, to come. The lady upholstering my ‘55 is actually pretty close to there, just into Illinois, in Orangeville Il.
