He bought it from the original owner in 1972. Wants to know what it's worth. I say "$30-35...what's it insured for?" He says $35k. Anyway...if you are serious...I can put you in touch. I told him to get the PHS...so there's that. I cannot believe he's selling it but he says he wants a Trans Am or a split-bumper Camaro. He DID work at Pro-Team Corvettes in Northern Ohio so he's pretty car savvy...brand loyal...not so much.

Ron I have interest in this car, live in NE Ohio, and have a 79 Trans Am that maybe we can involve in a trade.

sounds good...he expressed an interest in a '79. His name is Tino and his phone # is 419-439-1942. I'll let him know you will be calling and you guys can exchange info. It is a really nice ride. Let me know if you have any difficulty and I'll do what I can to help. Thanks!

Thanks Ron. Mine is a 79 Silver 4 speed Tenth with 24k originally from Findlay Ohio with original paint.. We talk about it a little on the 77-79 Ta thread here. It would seem like its close to a even up trade. Ill contact him next few days.

He's already getting disgusted with tire-kickers and low-ballers. Has the car on Craigslist but I do not have the link.

Cool I thought...

that he had the Rally IIs...but I can't see wheels as being a deal-breaker. Hell...sell the hoopties and buy a new set to your liking. Have you shopped around for numbers-matching cars? Anyway...your decision. I just think that this car is a deal considering what I've been seeing. Pretty sure that $25k will take this one home. Folks are wanting as much for clones.

Yeah, I agree. Wheels are not an issue. Torque Thrusts are now cheaper than a set of RallyIIs!

Kids that car is a deal even at asking price. I might need a haircut.

Seller told me, when I spoke to him, that the car needs better paint.

How good does the paint have to be on a matching numbers 4 spd car for 25k?
C'mon now. Really?

Seller was talking 30-35 when I spoke to him a month or so ago. 25k was never on the table.
