Getting ready to have mine refinished.
1. All 8 grooves get painted Marimba Red, correct? I only have a Gas Door bezel to eyeball, the lowest groove looks tricky to deal with because of the way the lower "ledge" of the bottom wide rib is formed, not sure where the Red should stop. 2. What about the letters in the Gas Door bezel, do any of them get Red paint? I know the letters are painted white, but looking a the P, O, A, and C where the "grooves" are part of the letter. Looks tricky to get Red in there, if they are painted with the Red, any tips on how to do it? Close-up pix of the paint detail would be great. Thanks. |

My questions might be confusing. I know Marimba Red is the color, need details of where the paint goes.

Thx for the tail panel pix Jim. I think I have enough detail to get it close.
Also thx for the New Flash. I do have the same procedure from the Nov '64 SCN. Looks like the News Flash was published a bit earlier. Evidence that they were getting complaints even during the warranty period. |
