326 rocker arm not getting enough oil
My 65 Lemans has a 64 326. #6 ex rocker arm is squeaking and hardly getting any oil at all. It oils through the rocker studs, I suspect a clogged rocker stud, I don't want to remove the heads to clean it out unless that's the only way to fix it; I can't imagine that would be easy.
I have some 66 326 pushrods that are hollow and intend to use 66 rocker arms. Can I just do this and forget about the clogging rocker studs? I don't know if the original lifters metered oil the same as new ones that are said to fit Pontiac 55-81. I don't know if the oil galley supplies oil the same as 65 and up. I'm willing to put a new cam/lifter kit in if necessary to provide oil to the top end. It would be a stock Pontiac 066-067 replacement cam with stock base circle if I do that. Can I just put the pushrods/rockers in and forget about the clogging rocker studs? |

As I said on the other board, put 65-66 rockers on,that is all you need.67 and later rockers won't work.Tom
