I need to put new tires on my nearly restored 67 GTO. I have 15" Rally IIs. I want to put radials on it, no redlines, etc. What size tires are recommended? Appreciate any suggestions.

Charlie... are you racing, cruising, showing, or trailer queening? Sorry about the last one... but it definitely matters what you plan on doing.
I am cruising/racing my 72. So I'm planning on installing either 215/75R-15 or 225/75R-15 on the front (as the 75's are thinner tires, this equates to less rolling resistence) and 275/60R-15 on the back (wider and taller for more traction and less gear - therefore, less spin). I'm more interested in straight-line performance than cornering performance. For pure crusing/occasional showing, I'd go with either 225/75R-15 or 225/60R-15's BFG's or Goodyears all the way around. Either of these should give you great handling/cornering (the 60's would be the better choice for handling/cornering). For trailer queening, I'm not sure. But I'm sure that there are some folks here that can tell you what was factory size for that year/model. Good luck! Dan

I had 235x60-15's on 15x7 Rally IIs on my '67 GTO. Now I'm running 225x60's front and 255x60's rear on 15x8 Rally IIs with 4.5" backspacing.
