Hi Paul.
Yes I did drive it! It runs great. There have been personal things that have kept me from the car the past month. Good and not so good. I got the hood and fenders back on just before it rained for the only time in months a few weeks ago. That was the day I had the appointment to get the 2:73 posi gears replaced with 3:42's. That was in the plan all along. So the first 10 miles I drove it on the rebuild were in the rain to the rear end shop, and then back home that evening. I had no lights or wipers yet.. I hardly got on it as any throttle spun the wet tires... I came home early this last Tuesday so I could drive the car and took it out. I drove about 15 miles through town and on the freeway for a short run. The car idles well with a rumble and pulls smoothly. Power Brakes work well so there is good vacuum it seems. Easily got the tires loose with only a bit of foot in the throttle on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts manually on the TH400 that is not setup stupid firm. Oil pressure is 55-60 cold at idle, 25-30 at hot idle, cruising hot shows 40-45 on a new mechanical oil pressure gauge. I've done two oil changes. One right after I got it running here before I drove it, and again tonight after about 20 miles. Used Brad Penn the first time and Valvoline Vr1 30 wt this time. Thank you Paul.. I hope to get more seat time soon and push it harder. I'll take a picture or two. Merry Christmas to all.
