On Christmas Day, I received an email, in which someone had a WM Block he purchased in 1985 down in south. It had a spun bearing, and he prepared the block for storage, and there it has sat since 1985. He was hesitant to email, but did. He thought the block was dated September of 71.
The owner had a chance to go where the block was stored to check the numbers, and it was not the one I am looking for. Here is what the number is on the WM 22N5279XX. Maybe someone else is looking for this number. Please Email and I will forward information. Thanks again to the gentleman for the Christmas email.

While we're at it......i'm still looking for the 69 warwick blue / black interior automatic judge that the RAIV motor [code XP] I have came from. Was sold new in the Dallas Georgia area from a Chevrolet dealership. Had the saf-t-tr-hd option with 4.33 gears!!! I'm surprised that the block survived without a rod coming through it.

Congrats David! Mid 90's managed to track diwn the original WM shortblock out of my '72. Fortunately the boys that had it had not had it but for a few years & were willing to part with it.
Occasionally, its a simple matter of geography & sometines, esp if its the sticks, parts didn't wander far. Jack Peters managed to find the original '71 WC HO shortblock out of his T-37 Coupe. Well known Pontiac racer nearby in Anchorage (& fellow PY member) had it. On a '79 400 4spd T/A project I picked up years ago, I built the fellow a disc rear for his '80 T/A & ended up buying his '79 400 4spd T/A partially disassembled. One small frustration at the time was the car's original Pwh engine was complete & setting in the fellows garage but I couldnt get him to sell me the engine. Mentioned "When you want to sell it, give me a buzz". Sure enough a few months later a few weeks before Christmas I was able to reunite the engine with the car.

Attached is a video that tells the story.
A few Corrections, The Motor was complete, when is was rebuild with the SD internals, Pontiac Racer Bill Blair was involved with engine, may have used engine. Ron has provided a few names and numbers so I can continue to look into it history of engine and the car. The entire top end was used atop a SR block to make another 1972 car complete. That made me happy to hear. In the coming months I will be making requests in the Parts Wanted section to complete the top end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwhIvhnPC0U&authuser=0 First attachment for me, hope it works.
