I had mine restored by John Pirkle ten years ago. He was amazed that I had one.

Listing has ended, so no one bit on the price. People can ask whatever they want, but it doesn't mean anyone will actually pay that amount.

I was watching it just to see whether it would sell for that price. BIN Listing lasted less than a day and reported as sold.

Teach me to assume, the 1100832 is a 10SI (one of the first). Haven't found the exact application. Yet.

1100832 was one of the early production alternators (as opposed to a generator and external voltage regulator). As such, it had many early hour failures and most of them were removed, replaced, and discarded early in life. Thus few exist today.

These ARE early 10SI alternators. Before this and in many cars the 10 DN alternator continued well into the 70's.
These were Very reliable in function. Only real issues were the front case being open style has weak spokes.
The Corvette and Pontiac Firebird were the test bed for the 10si program IIRC. I owned a couple that were on 350 and 400 birds, not trans am. Both sold for 500 each as others have mentioned. The market isn't that big for these.
The auction reminds me of heartbeat city selling 37 amp REGULATORS for 6 cylinder. 1969 camaros as " COPO" original parts. Both used them. But....

What I found so far was that in '69 there were a number of 110083x 10SIs produced alongside 11007xx 10DNs. What I did not find was exactly what an 1100832 fit. (references manual . Found 1100834, 836, and 837 as 37A in Canada,1970. Found 1100831 and 1100833, but not 832 yet. Have about 6" of documentation to go through.

Keep in mind the cars with a 10si Alternator in '69, '70 had their OWN wiring harness.
This isn't just a alternator swap.
I believe 837 was a DN alternator.
Interestingly you can find a 928 built in '73 as a factory DN alternator for a AMC, but in a Pontiac that number was a SI unit from 71-72.

I paid $5.00 for the one on my T/A. It was in the trunk of a 69 400 Bird sitting in a wrecking yard in Yakima Wa.

Not sure if this is a correct for 69 Trans Am but I have a friend doing a nut and bolt resto on a real 69 T/A so he needs one like this. Something about a built in voltage regulator due to no room on the firewall I think because of the ram air pans. So, looking for one if anyone has one.

I’ve been looking for a while. Last good quality / authentic one I saw sold privately was $2,300.00. Probably was a deal at that price.. I’m just not there though…

You’d need to see the PHS and see if it’s an internally regulated and what amperage. Others can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe any internally regulated or higher amperage woukd show up on a PHS
