Intake manifold 9794284?
Looked on a few Pontiac related sites to check this intake #. Appears there is a 97942”3”4 listed. Is there a 97942”8”4 or am I just seeing it wrong? Whiich is correct for a ‘68 350HO? I have a 9790140 on it which I believe is original because it’s a numbers matching drivetrain. It a Arlington build.
Thanks

The 140's were early production 68 intakes before they switched. like made in late 67. I can't remember the change over date offhand. what's the date code on it and the build date of your car?

9794234 first appeared at the introduction of the RamAir II engine mid-may 1968 on all Pontiac V8´s and were also used on all 1969 engines except RAIV.

In my search for a replacement date correct intake I noticed the 140 to 234 change over casting date was approximately March 16 or 17 of 68.
The original cracked '234' manifold was dated D108. I luckily found an excellent D118 replacement. My 68 is a 05A build with a WT engine.

Amazes me that the 0140, 4234, 068 manifolds were designed "just right" for 350 thru 455.
