OK guys, I finally updated the registry website with some new cars that I have been sitting on all year. We are up to 570 Judge's documented in some kind of form with limited information to full documented. Please take a look and if you happen to have any missing info on any of the cars listed, Please help us out and drop me a text or email with the info.

If you do not see your car listed and would not mind adding it to our registry we would really appreciate it. The more cars we have documented, the better chance we have of trying to guess on production numbers, options, ect and get ruff idea's. Thank you everyone who has help on this huge project as registry's are a ton of work but makes it all worth it when I get to talk to people and help them out and also add new cars.

Thanks,
Tim

Yes, I have not touched the Ram Air section as I have a couple cars including yours that I need to get put in. Thanks for posting and reminding me as I appreciate it.

I have already had some people on Facebook fill in a couple missing items, so please check the registry and if you guys see anything that is not correct please let me know as I really try to make sure it is as accurate as possible with no mistakes.

As I mentioned above, I am also in facebook under 1969 GTO Judge Registry. Look me up and like the page on there as well.

Thanks,
Tim

I was working on the registry tonight and came across a car that was listed on ebay back on Sept 20th. What makes this kind of special to at least me is that there was a guy on this form back around 2014 who posted info on all the 69 GTO's/Judge's that his familys Pontiac dealership sold. The dealership was Hardin Motors in Elizabethtown Kentucky. This specific Judge that was on ebay was from his familys dealership. I do not if any of you guys remember this member or not but if you do know him let him know about one of his familys cars being found in olive branch, mississippi

I am still around and so is Hardin Motors. I stay busy with my business. It is now a small used car dealership in Elizabethtown Ky.
Awesome to hear about a car we sold new. I know of only a few cars we sold, a 69 Trans Am, a RA IV Judge, a 67 conv, and now this one. If anyone here has one of our cars please let ke know.
I appreciate the registry. I enjoy looking through it!

Rivets on the trim tag aside (if indeed they can be put aside) this car is now the earliest known Ram Air '69 at 11B 1968. Owned by Knut Torg of Norway.

Especially when it's after the 'Shipped Date'.

Wonder who writes them?

I was wondering if the written note regarding 205936 on feb. 12th was to indicate a dealer to dealer transfer on that date? 05 being the new york region and 936 maybe being the dealer code?

Sure there is - a PHS only lists optional equipment, the code 348 option at $168.51
is the Ram Air III. They didn't all say 'Ram Air 400'

Hmmm.... never really looked at what was written, just saw the dates.

The upper note is for the power flo vent - code 588 with a date of 1-23-69 which is supposedly after the dealer received it. (which was not a zone car, so was ordered for customer or dealer)

The bottom note can't ell what it says at first? con?
Looks like maybe D? 205936
development code?

Or maybe didn't have it when delivered and dealer installed it?
(rare option)

Might need John V input?

Still would like to know who wrote the note?
Dealer? PHS?
Pontiac after the car was shipped?

Interesting note about the power-flow. Might mean nothing but seems perhaps a big coincidence since there is a Pontiac bulletin I've seen about power-flow finally being offered on Fbirds in early jan 69.

I haven't seen a similar bulletin about A bodies but I did look at my GTO PHS listing (800+) and I have 5 cars with power-flow and the earliest build date is mid January 69 (it's this car).

Maybe the option wasn't still available at the plant when it was installed so it was billed and later sent to the dealer, or he was credited. Does anyone know if this car actually had the power-flow installed?

I just went thru the list. It appears that the Elizabethtown KY sold more Judges than any other dealer. Can anyone confirm this?

CMD = Credit Memo Document
205936 is the reference number to that particular credit - returned to dealer.
Evidently the Power-Flo didn't make it onto the car during assembly.

A fair number of these CMD's show up on Invoices from time to time.
All are in the same handwriting - at least on the year ranges i fool with mostly (65-73).

They were handled at the PMD level.

The odd thing on this memo is it doesn't include the dollar $ amount in the notation. Might not have had their 2nd cup yet that morning.
The actual CMD would have handled getting the credit to the dealer though.
In the event of audits, checks & balances, etc ... the CMD's could be cross-referenced to their applicable invoice , and vice-versa.

It's also a little odd that the body date has such a gap from shipping date.
Probably stored waiting on the engine ? or waiting on Power-Flo ?
idunno
all items were supposed to be accounted for before the build order was put into the build process.
Sometimes the bean counters may have had setbacks due to anticipated availability that didn't materialize on time.

i think Kxx8 is the earliest known casting on 69 WS / YZ blocks.
Mid to Late Nov 68
Somewhere on here there was already a witch hunt on this factoid.
Seems like that was the result ... but i'm not fully positive now.
It may have been Jxx8

One of the family members from that dealership went thru their records and pulled out all the Judge's they sold which was a pretty good amount. We have those cars listed in the registry which you saw so that is why there are so many from the same dealer and the dealer numbers will level out as I get more cars registered. I am up to 700 cars registered out of the total of 6833 cars built so my numbers are low compared to the total number. which makes it look like they had a bunch.

If you have a 69 Judge and its not registered, please reach out to me and we can work on getting your car in the registry. My contact info is under the "Register Your Car" tab on the top of the website or you can message me here on PY

Statistically the average Pontiac dealer sold 200 odd 69 Pontiacs. Gto’s were almost 10% of all Pontiacs and Judges were about 10% of all GTO’s or almost 1% of all Pontiacs. This translates to about 2 Judges per dealer.

Of course the larger urban dealers sold a lot more cars than the many tiny rural dealers.

So most larger dealers probably sold 5 to 10 judges because they sold 600-1,200 cars. I’m sure therefore many larger dealers that were more biased to the hi-perf crowd sold probably 20 or more judges.

I wonder how many dealers sold none?

I saw in the list had a Cardinal Red 69 sold in Dallas and I remember seeing one in a N Dallas neighborhood in the early 90s , it was nice. Then I also recall a old tired Mayfair Maize 69 Judge commuting in Dallas traffic around same time . It had some green in the stripes and wonder where that one is today ? The other one regular 69 Carousel Judge (no stripe repainted beater daily) I recall in Dallas I used to see the old lady driving in Oak Cliff in the 90's finally got snatched up where it was resting for decades in W Dallas poor neighborhood.
