Default Best repop 1969 Firebird Quarters

I have been searching around for which quarters to buy for my 1969 Firebird. I was hoping to be able to patch them, but know it looks like I need full quarters. I know that there are many choices from Taiwanese mfgs. AMD does not make ones for the Firebird. So OER, Dynacorn (Ames sells these) and Goodmark (not sure who makes theirs). Most of the information I find is older and I am sure the quality changes over time. Anyone have recent experience and recommendations?

Thanks

Dynacorn is your best option. I used them on a 1969 Firebird and was happy with them. I usually recommend purchasing through AMES but with sheet metal, shipping cost and the risk of damage, you may want to see if anyone local to you sells it. I have had much better luck shipping body panels commercially as far as damage goes. Also if you need quarters you should also buy the quarter trunk hinge stiffeners as well as the quarter window stiffeners. Chances are you will need trunk drop offs and possible outer wheelhouses.

I purchased a pair of convertible quarters from AMD.

I was in NE GA and stopped in to see panels at Year One, they were made by a Chinese company with the guy's name, Johnny Lie or some such. The contours of the forward section of the wheel opening lip were disastrously wrong. I still have photos, posted below. What was odd was they had a 69 Camaro complete shell sitting there with the correct shape of the lip.

I went up to AMD and they had the correct contour panels on hand. Not sure who made them. I'll look to see if that info in on the boxes.

PS I had also called NPD in Ocala FL, they said they stocked whatever they could procure from 4 different manufacturers.
