Default What year is this dash bezel?

I think the woodgrain on the dash bezels is different for each year from 1970 - 1972. Can someone help ID what this dash bezel came out of?

'72 LeMans w GTO option.. Non AC.

If it came out of a 72 Lux LeMans it would the same dark brown blaxk grain appliqué on the lower area.

On a regular '72 LeMans, the lower area would not have any appliqué.

That's what I was hoping it was for.

Do you have any photos of what 70 & 71 look like?

Your knowledge is always impressive, thanks for sharing. I think this is 71 but was never sure. It is more "banded". Can you ID? Would be useful to see all the variants in one thread.

For a given year, is the "banding" identical for every woodgrain insert? Of did these vary slightly from car to car?

I would also like to see all side by side. I don't see a big difference between the 72 and what might be a 71.

I think one thing that may make a difference is the black area on the upper right where a vent would go on an a/c car. I think that area may be different for different years.

70 and 71 cars without AC had embossed Pontiac on upper opening. 1972 did not. Also 70 71 base tempest and T-37 didn’t have wood grain at all. 71 lemans sport and GTO cars received leather grain appliqué. This is what I have seen in my experience

My ‘71 GT-37 has woodgrain appliqué.
Car was built with Rally Gauge cluster w/I.P. Tachometer. No A/C. No lower appliqué.
